Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were a hit pair in Bollywood. Their off-screen love was quite visible in their on-screen chemistry. However, after dating for 5 long years, the duo called it quits and shocked their entire fanbase. After their breakup, Shahid Kapoor moved on and went on to marry Delhi-based Mira Rajput. On the other hand, Kareena too found love in the arms of actor, Saif Ali Khan.
Years later, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor starred in Vishal Bhardwaj’s film, Rangoon, which also featured actress, Kangana Ranaut. When the trio appeared on Koffee With Karan, the host asked them whether the two had any weird moments during the shooting considering they have Kareena in common. Saif and Shahid dodged Karan's question and instead congratulated each other on becoming parents.

It was indeed an unmissable moment as Saif smartly skipped what Karan wanted to hear and instead stated that although he loves history but Kareena’s topic is older than medieval. He further congratulated Shahid on his child, Misha and Shahid reciprocated the same to Saif for Taimur. Saif further praised Shahid and stated that he is a lovely guy and that they gelled perfectly from the first time they met. The whole conversation left Kangana in splits.

Talking about Shahid and Kareena’s relationship, the duo was head-over-heels in love with each other. After the two worked on Fida, bumps started to appear in their relationship. Soon after, Kareena started shooting for Tashan with Saif Ali Khan, and Shahid began filming Kismat Konnection with Vidya Balan, thus adding sparks to their individual linkup rumours with their co-stars. As the shoot neared its end, Kareena and Shahid’s relationship died a slow death.

Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor ended their relationship during the shoot of Jab We Met. As per a Miss Malini report, it was Kareena Kapoor’s mother and sister, Babita and Karisma Kapoor, who were not very fond of Shahid Kapoor and Bebo’s camaraderie. Although Shahid belonged to a well-known filmy lineage, they had felt that their families do not match and go at par with each other. The report stated that Kareena’s fondness towards Shahid was turning into an obsession as Bebo was then asking all of her directors to cast them together in films.
In 2012, Kareena Kapoor added Khan to her surname after she tied the knot with actor, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor got hitched to Mira Rajput in 2015.
