Shahid Kapoor talked about his thoughts on meeting Mira Rajput for the first time in a throwback interview.
Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor are the OG couple of the glamour world. Despite Mira not belonging to the glamour world and their age gap, the lovely couple never misses a chance to swoon everyone with their chemistry. It was on July 7, 2015, when Shahid broke the hearts of millions of girls and tied the knot with 13 years young Delhi-based girl, Mira Rajput.
In a throwback interview with Filmfare, Shahid Kapoor talked about his first meeting with Mira Rajput. The duo are a part of the same religious group, and they met at a family friend’s farmhouse in Delhi. Talking about his first meeting with Mira, Shahid revealed that he was awestruck by her.

In the same conversation, Shahid revealed that when the two went out for a walk, he realised that he wanted to marry her. In his words:
“I’m still falling in love with her….a bit more every day. The first time we met, we spoke for seven hours. We were at a friends' farmhouse in Delhi. We went for a walk outside and the sun was setting behind her. I realised her eyes were not dark. They had a hazel tinge. That moment, I felt shayad main iss ladki se shaadi kar sakta hoon. But I also told myself, “What are you thinking? Bees saal ki hai besharam!”
Every now and then, we have seen how Shahid and Mira dote on each other, and their chemistry often awestruck us. On their fourth wedding anniversary, Shahid had given us a glimpse of the very first picture of Mira that he had saved on his phone. Sharing the same, Bollywood’s Kabir Singh had written:
“Her first picture I saved on my phone. And now almost every second picture has her in it. She is #life. I love you @mira.kapoor thank you for being you.”

When Shahid and Mira appeared on Koffee With Karan, they had spilt the beans on their relationship and married life. During the rapid-fire round, Karan had asked Mira to choose one of the four deal-breakers in marriage from the options - cheating, interfering in-laws, bad sex, and boredom. Mira answered, “I don’t have interfering in-laws, we are not bored, we don’t have bad sex, so, cheating,” leaving Karan impressed.
Mira and Shahid are blessed with two kids, Misha and Zain.
