Bollywood actor, Shahid Kapoor had left the entire nation stunned when he had tied the knot with a Delhi-based girl, Mira Rajput. Soon, the couple was blessed with two kids, Misha Kapoor and Zain Kapoor. Shahid and Mira are going stronger each day and often lead the headlines for their mushy romance. On the professional front, Shahid Kapoor is currently promoting his upcoming film, Jersey with the actress, Mrunal Thakur.
In an interview, Shahid Kapoor revealed that his wife, Mira had second thoughts about their arranged marriage. He added that it had happened when she had got scared of him after watching his performance in his film, Udta Punjab. For the unversed, Udta Punjab was released in the year 2016, and it also featured actors, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead. In the film, Shahid played the character of a drug addict rockstar, 'Tommy Singh'.

In an interview with CNN News 18, Shahid Kapoor shared a funny anecdote about his wife, Mira Rajput. He revealed that soon after his marriage, he had taken Mira with him to watch his film, Udta Punjab, before its release. Elaborating on the same, the Jersey actor said:
“A very funny thing happened when Mira and I just got married. I took her to see Udta Punjab before it was released, and we saw it in the editing room. I was going, so I was like, ‘You want to come?’ and she was like, ‘Yes, I’ll come’.”
Shahid added that his wife, Mira was sitting right beside him at the beginning of the film, but later, she had moved away. Shahid revealed that Mira was afraid of his character, 'Tommy', in the film, and she had started questioning their arranged marriage. Shahid added:
“She was literally five feet away. And I was like, ‘What happened?’ We had just married, and it was an arranged marriage, we didn’t know each other that well. She looked at me, and her first question was, ‘Are you this guy? Are you like him? I don’t want to be with you’. I said, ‘No, no, that’s Tommy Singh. That has nothing to do with me.’”

Well, not just Mira, but Shahid's father-in-law, Vikramaditya Rajput, was also unimpressed with Shahid's role in the film, Udta Punjab. Earlier, in a conversation with Kapil Sharma on his show, The Kapil Sharma Show, Shahid had shared that his father-in-law was not happy when he had met the actor for the first time. Talking about the same, Shahid had said:
"I coloured my hair at that time because in the film 'Udta Punjab', my character was shown to be a little different. Mira's father wears formal shirts and pants and he has a very neat hairstyle, shaves every morning. When he saw me for the first time, the look on his face echoed thoughts like, 'who is my daughter marrying!?' 'What kind of a boy is he?' So, now when I go to meet him, I comb my hair properly and his eyes light up with joy."
On the work front, Shahid will be next seen in the film, Jersey.
