'Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives' fame, Kalyani Chawla called Shalini Passi a liar. Here's why a heavy accusation was levied on her.
Shalini Passi, of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives fame, is known for her posh lifestyle, artistic life, and extravagant parties. However, in the third season of the Netflix show, Shalini's fans in her debut, get to see a different side of her. Shalini, known for her sophisticated, calm, and composed nature, who rarely ever loses her cool got offended by Kalyani's remark, which made it look like Shalini was a liar.
It was seen in an episode of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives that Ranbir Kapoor's sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, had invited Shalini and Kalyani for lunch. If you have seen episode 4 of the series, you will see that the Delhi girls were invited for an exotic trip to the Maldives. Riddhima then hung up the call and said she was glad to meet the Delhi girls. Kalyani said she never had lunches with the girls, to which Shalini also added that she never goes for lunches, either. Kalyani replied by saying:
"You do lunches, Shalini, your Instagram is a giveaway."
Shalini is shocked when she hears Kalyani accusing her of going for lunch. The Delhi-based socialite explained that she has not been on a lunch in the past five months. She even gets her cell phone to prove her innocence and shows her Instagram posts. Shalini then added:
"I don’t go out for lunches because I’m working in the day. I barely go out at night. I’m living for a higher purpose."
Kalyani, being the sarcastic Bengali, called Shalini "Oshojo," which means intolerable in Bengali. Kalyani also said that she was ''gobsmacked,'' while Riddhima agreed to get a rude shock. Once Shalini exits, Kalyani tells Riddhima that Shalini goes for lunch every week and has not been a true person. The episode then shows their Mauritius vacation.
When the girl gang of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives dined in Mauritius, Riddhima left no stone unturned in slamming Shalini. She sarcastically says that the team was happy to have her, and she does not have lunch but does dine.
In an interview with News 18, Shalini revealed that Shah Rukh Khan's wife, Gauri, was 'genuinely concerned' for Shalini after she watched the Netflix original series. Shalini spoke about the feedback she had received since the show aired and said:
"The most special reaction came from Gauri. She called me while I was in Bombay, just before Manish Malhotra’s Diwali party. She said, ‘I’ve seen it. It’s amazing. You’re incredible. She was genuinely concerned for me, and when she told me how much she loved the show, it really touched my heart. Gauri knows me better than most, so hearing that from her was very special."
