Sharad Kelkar is one of the most talented actors in the Hindi film and television industry. The promising actor has marked his presence in an array of films and television series. His remarkable performances count in Hero, Mohenjo Daro, Goliyon Ki Raasleela-Ram Leela, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, Agent Raghav - Crime Branch among others. Now, Sharad Kelkar will be next seen in Tushar Hiranandani's upcoming film, Srikanth, which will hit the theatres on May 10, 2024. The film stars Rajkummar Rao as the titular character and has Sharad Kelkar, Alaya F, and Jyotika in other lead roles. However, we have now learned about a shocking detail regarding Sharad and his charges. In an interview with ETimes, Tushar Hiranandani, the director of the film, explained that initially Sharad demanded for a huge price that he was unable to pay him. He said:
"When Sharad (Kelkar) came to meet me, there was a price he quoted and he deserves it also. But then I told him that it was difficult for me and requested him to listen to the narration. After the narration he left and I was not sure if Sharad would do the film. However, the next morning I got a call from my producer Bhushan Kumar saying that Sharad told him that he wanted to be part of the film and didn't want to miss an opportunity of this kind."

However, the following day, producer Bhushan Kumar gave a call to Tushar, claiming that Sharad wanted to be part of the film very badly. Thus, it intrigued the director, and Sharad was given the role of Srikanth Bolla's best friend, 'Ravi' in the film. Sharad's part can be seen in the post-interval. However, the director explained that the mere amount charged by Sharad then, was only Rs. 101. Tushar said:
"Sharad enters the film post interval and guess the fee on his Srikanth contract? It is just Rs 101! In reality, Ravi is the man behind the success of Srikanth Bolla."
Earlier, in a candid conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Sharad opened up about his anger management issues in the last twelve years. Recalling one specific incident, the 46-year-old actor mentioned how his action of breaking a glass in anger had scared his wife utterly for her own safety. However, this incident got him 150 stitches in his hand, and he had to undergo surgery. This incident turned him completely into a calmer man and changed him. However, he also had a fair share of struggles and problems before his debut. He recalled how he had a severe stammering issue, didn't know acting then and neither had any money nor a home. That time taught him hardwork.
