Sharad Malhotra and Ripci Bhatia completed a year of togetherness! And the star-wife baked a special cake to celebrate the occasion. Check it out below!
A marriage might change your whole life but it is all worthwhile when you see your better-half with whom your life turns into a paradise (on some days). As the years pass by, you start finding solace in your partner's snoring habit and they start accepting your constant nagging. However, there will be days when you won't be able to stay under one roof, but by the end of the day, you will forget it all and eat a yummy meal together. After all, that's the beauty of being married. And television actor, Sharad Malhotra, who once was a 'marriage-phobic' completed a year of marital bliss with his wife, Ripci Bhatia. Sharad and Ripci had tied the knot in a Sikh and Hindu ceremony on April 20, 2019. And Since then, they have been giving us couple goals. We love how Sharad takes care of his lovely wife and we remember in an interview after two days of the wedding, he had shared how his marriage phobia is over now. According to Sharad, his idea in this institution has changed the moment he had taken saath pheras with the love of his life.
On April 21, 2020, Sharad took to his Instagram handle and gave us a glimpse of how they celebrated their first anniversary. He posted a picture with Ripci from their intimate celebration from home as they were not able to go out due to the lockdown. Alongside it, he wrote a special note for her and shared with his fans how she baked a chocolate walnut cake for the first time. His post can be read as "I blinked my eyes and in an instant 12 months, 365 days, 52 weeks, 8760 hours of pure marital bliss has passed & now we enter into the 2nd year of this purposeful institution with a lot more understanding, maturity, unity, acceptance, honesty, integrity, compassion & LOVE. Coming back to Sharad and Ripci's love story, their union was made in heaven and arranged by their families. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, he had shared, "When I was introduced to Ripci, I had just come out of a relationship and was going through a difficult phase. Initially, we would just exchange occasional pleasantries on social media. It was only after Ganpati last year that we got talking on the phone, which was after my last relationship ended. What connected us probably was our fear of marriage. In fact, Ripci travelled the world for six years to avoid marriage, as the pressure on a girl at her age was mounting. I would have loved to do that, too, but I was constantly working. It’s only recently that our families got involved after we spoke over the phone for a few days. Both of us instantly realised that this is it and decided to take the plunge." (Also Read: Karan Johar's Kids, Yash And Roohi Johar Are Diet-Policing Him, Barred Him From Eating A Burger)
He had further added, “I realised that bahut bhaag liya. I can either keep running away from a marriage all my life, or get into it, experience it and see for myself if it’s good, bad or ugly. My mother was extremely happy when I gave my nod. Having said that, she didn’t give her approval immediately. She took her time to be sure that I was ready for it, given my colourful past. She feared that I would back out again. But everything happened organically. I would call it an arranged-cum-love marriage.” (Don't Miss: South Star, Ram Charan Takes The 'Real Man' Challenge, Mops The Floor And Nominates Ranveer Singh)
