Sharda Sinha's Death: Last Rites, Anshuman Reveals Her Unfulfilled Last Wish, Died Due To Myeloma

Sharda Sinha's death has saddened the entire nation. However, the people of Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, and some states of the eastern UP who celebrate Chhath Puja are deeply hurt by her untimely demise. The legendary folk singer, who was renowned by the moniker 'Voice of Chhath Puja', passed away on the first day of the auspicious festival that simply broke everyone's hearts. Several netizens stated that Chhathi Maiya's favourite child, Sharda Sinha, is finally with her in heaven.

Sharda Sinha's death live: Last rites will be performed with State Honours in Patna

However, the pain of losing a singer like Sharda Sinha is too much to take for everyone because she dedicated her life to singing a series of iconic songs related to Chhath Puja. It was Sharda's son, Anshuman Sinha, who confirmed the news of her mother's passing with a heartbreaking tweet. The doting son posted a picture of her mother and penned a few lines that can be read as:

"Aap sab ki prathna aur pyar hamesha maa ke saath rahenge. Maa ko chhathi maiya ne apne paas bula lia hain. Maa ab shareerik roop se hum sab ke beech nahin rahi."

In a conversation with the ANI, Sharda Sinha's son, Anshuman Sinha talked about her mother's last rites and shared that it will take place in Patna. The doting son revealed that he chose Patna because his father, Brijkishore Sinha's funeral, also took place in the same city. As per the latest reports, Sharda Sinha's mortal remains were brought to Patna from Delhi's AIIMS Hospital on November 6, 2024.

Popular singer and politician, Manoj Tiwari also reacted to Sharda Sinha's untimely demise and shared that her last rites will be performed with state honours. According to a report in ETimes, Sharda Sinha's last rites will be held on November 7, as one day will be given to her massive fanbase for the antim darshan. However, a recent report in News 24 stated that the last rites will be performed on November 6, 2024.

Sharda Sinha's son, Anshuman Sinha revealed her mother's last wish that remained unfulfilled

After Sharda Sinha's demise, Anshuman Sinha opened up about his mother's last wish, which remained unfulfilled. The doting son shared that his mother told him that she wanted to leave this world as a married woman. Unfortunately, due to his father, Brijkishore Sinha's demise back in September 2024, Sharda Sinha became a widow, and her last wish remained unfulfilled. Anshuman further added that his mother told him to perform her final rites at the same place where his father's funeral took place.

Sharda Sinha wanted to visit Kashi Viswanath Dham, but her wish remained unfulfilled

Sharda Sinha once opened up about her wish to visit Kashi Vishwanath Dham after visiting the Ayodhya Ram Mandir, but it remained unfulfilled. While talking to the media, Sharda said she wished to perform at Kashi Vishwanath Dham in front of Mahadev. Unfortunately, she couldn't make it, and it's heartbreaking how she suddenly left everyone. For the uninitiated, Sharda visited Kashi's BHU six years ago, but at that time, she couldn't reach Kashi Vishwanath Mandir due to her tight schedule.

What is myeloma? A rare type of blood cancer that took away Sharda Sinha's life

Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardee, Sharda Sinha has been suffering from myeloma since 2018, before finally passing away on November 5, 2024. For the unversed, myeloma is a rare type of blood cancer which affects the plasma cells and turns healthy cells into abnormal cells. As per multiple reports, myeloma is not curable but can be controlled through a dedicated treatment.
