In a recent interview, Shatrughan Sinha reacted to the ongoing rumours of his daughter, Sonakshi Sinha's wedding with Zaheer Iqbal and showered his blessings.
Sonakshi Sinha will reportedly get married to her boyfriend, Zaheer Iqbal, on June 23, 2024. The duo's wedding invite was leaked on social media, wherein they confirmed their upcoming nuptials via a sweet audio message. Sonakshi and Zaheer have been dating each other for seven years now, and their wedding rumours have created a buzz in Tinseltown. And now, the actress' father has reacted to the wedding rumours.
In an interview with the ETimes, Sonakshi Sinha's father and veteran actor, Shatrughan Sinha opened up about his daughter's upcoming wedding and chose to neither confirm nor deny the rumours. However, the actor mentioned he would be very happy if Sonakshi decided to get married, and that she will always have his blessings. He said:
"I am neither confirming nor denying her wedding news. Time will tell. She will always have my blessings."

Shatrughan Sinha further added that Sonakshi is the apple of his eyes and he is proud of her acting journey. He also mentioned that if his daughter gets married, she has his blessings and he will always support her decision. The loving father further expressed his happiness over Sonakshi and Zaheer's alleged wedding and said:
"Sonakshi is the apple of my eye. She is my only daughter and very close to me. I am a proud father because, over the years, she has also grown as an actor. From Lootere to Dahaad to now Heeramandi, she has proved to be a fantastic actor. If my daughter is getting married, I will give her my blessings and support her decision and choice. Sonakshi has the right to choose her companion, and I will be the happiest father on her wedding day. I will always wish her the best... ek hi toh beti hai meri."
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's wedding invite has gone viral on Reddit. It featured an audio QR code with a sweet message from the couple. According to the leaked invite, the party will take place at Bastian in Mumbai, and the guests are requested to wear formal and festive attire. We could also see “the rumours were true” written on the card. The couple also asked the guests not to wear red, hinting that the bride-to-be will steal our hearts in a red lehenga. In the voice note, Zaheer and Sonakshi shared the tidbits of their wedding celebration, with the former confirming that they have been together for the last seven years. They expressed their excitement as they embarked on this new journey in their life and requested the guests to join them at the celebrations.

As per a report in the Hindustan Times, a source close to Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal revealed that the couple moved in a while ago, and they are all set to tie the knot with the blessings of their families. The source also mentioned that the wedding will take place at the South Mumbai eatery, Bastian, on June 23, 2024, followed by a reception party at night. Sonakshi and Zaheer had been planning the wedding for a long time, and they were waiting for the election to be over as the actress' father was busy with the election.
