Television actress, Tunisha Sharma's ex-boyfriend, Sheezan Khan's family issued an official statement and requested for privacy.
Television actress, Tunisha Sharma left for the heavenly abode leaving her family behind on December 24, 2022. The Fitoor actress was found hanging on the sets of her television show, Ali Baba: Dastaan-e-Kabul. Reportedly, Tunisha committed suicide in the makeup room of her co-star and ex-boyfriend, Sheezan Khan. Moreover, her mother had also filed a complaint against him. He was arrested and taken into custody for four days after being presented in court on December 25, 2022. Now, Sheezan's family has broken their silence on the matter and released an official statement seeking privacy.
On December 26, 2022, Sheezan Khan's family issued an official statement after the actor was arrested under section 306 of IPC for abetment of suicide in Tunisha Sharma's suicide case. His sisters, Shafaq Naaz and Falaq Naaz took to their respective Instagram handles and shared an official statement on behalf of their entire family in a collaborative post. Sharing the statement, his family requested privacy from the media and others. In the statement, the family stated that it is a difficult situation for them and that the constant calls from the media are really upsetting for them. The statement reads:
"To everyone who's been trying to reach out to us for a statement on the case- please allow our family privacy in this grave situation. It's upsetting to see the members of the media constantly calling us and even standing below our apartment buildings."

Further, Sheezan's family stated that they have full faith in the Indian judiciary system. They even mentioned that Sheezan is fully cooperating with the police in Tunisha's suicide case. Sheezan's family further said in their statement that they would speak on the matter when the right time comes, but for now, they request privacy. It reads:
"We have full faith in the Indian judiciary system, and Sheezan is cooperating with the Mumbai police through all the procedures. We will talk about this when the time is right, but for now, please allow us the privacy which our family deserves right now."
Earlier, a report in Zoom Entertainment had mentioned that Sheezan's mother had reacted to Tunisha's suicide case. The report mentioned that the actor's mother stated that her son was fully supporting the police and that the truth would come out soon. She even talked about Tunisha and said that she was a sweet girl and was like her daughter. Talking about Tunisha and Sheezan's relationship, she said that she would not comment on it as everyone knows what has been said.
In the initial investigation of the case, Tunisha Sharma's ex-boyfriend, Sheezan Khan had admitted being in a relationship with the late actress, but they broke up. He even told the reason behind their break up to the police officials. Citing the same, the actor mentioned that their different religion and huge age gap were the reason behind their split. For the unversed, earlier, the police had revealed that Tunisha and Sheezan had broken up 15 days before she took the drastic step and ended her life.

Tunisha Sharma had committed suicide on the sets of her show, Ali Baba: Dastaan-e-Kabul on December 24, 2022. The 20 years old actress was found dead in the makeup room of her co-actor and ex-boyfriend, Sheezan Khan. Tunisha was immediately rushed to the hospital, but she was declared brought dead. According to a report in ANI, the Waliv police's statement could be read as:
"TV actress Tunisha Sharma committed suicide by hanging herself on the set of a TV serial. She was taken to a hospital where she was declared brought dead: Waliv Police."
For the unversed, Sheezan has been booked under IPC section 306 for abetment of suicide.
