In a throwback interview, Shehnaaz Gill shared that she once blocked Salman Khan's number at a promotional event. Read on to know the reason behind her action.
Shehnaaz Gill became acquainted with Salman Khan when she appeared on the latter’s show, Big Boss 13, where she ended her journey as a second runner-up. Even after the show ended, Salman has given some advices to Shehnaaz and also offered her a role in his movie, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. When the Punjabi kudi was doing promotional interviews for the same, she revealed an amusing incident between her and the Tiger 3 actor.
During her promotional events, Shehnaaz Gill and her team appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show, and shared how she got the offer for the film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. The actress said she got a call from an unknown number while she was in Amritsar. However, out of her habit, she blocked the unknown number, only to find out later that it was Salman Khan who called her. She said:
“Whenever I get a call from unknown numbers, I have this habit of blocking them. And so, I did the same. Then, after a few minutes, I got a message that Salman sir is trying to call me.”
Shehnaaz added that it was indeed Salman who called her, and so, she called him back. During their conversation, the actor offered her a role in the movie, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. The Thank You For Coming actress further shared that she agreed to work in the film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan without even reading the script, as Salman Khan ended the conversation after saying that the director would call her soon.
During the show, Big Boss 13, Shehnaaz fell in love with her fellow housemate, and late actor, Sidharth Shukla. But, destiny had planned something else for them as Sidharth left for the heavenly abode on September 2, 2021, after suffering from a heart attack. During the trailer launch of Shehnaaz and Salman starrer film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, the latter gave a heartmelting advice to her and asked her to 'move on' in her life. To which, the actress replied that she has already moved on.
Shehnaaz is an Indian actress, model, and singer. She has also worked in the Punjabi film, Sat Shri Akaal England before receiving acclaim in Bollywood through Salman Khan’s show, Big Boss 13. Simultaneously, she has also appeared in the film, Honsla Rakh, and multiple music videos titled, Bhula Dunga, Kurta Pajama, and Shona Shona.
In the Bollywood movie, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Shehnaaz played the role of ‘Sukoon’ opposite Raghav Juyal. A Farhad Samji directorial, the movie combined action and comedy and featured other stars such as Palak Tiwari, Jassie Gill, Siddharth Nigam, and Pooja Hegde among others.
