Punjabi actress, Shehnaaz Gill opened up about getting trolled after alleged boyfriend, Sidharth Shukla's demise in her conversation with Shilpa Shetty Kundra on her talk show, 'Shape Of You'.
It was on September 2, 2021, when the bubbly actress and everyone's favourite, Shehnaaz Gill's life had come crashing down after Bigg Boss 13 contestant, Sidharth Shukla, had passed away. Sidharth Shukla had breathed his last at the age of 40 after suffering a cardiac arrest, and his demise had left a massive void in Shehnaaz's life. It was a challenging time for the actress, and now, she has finally begun to move ahead in her life.
A few months back, Shehnaaz had hit the headlines when she had attended her manager's engagement bash. In one of the pictures, we could see Shehnaaz posing with Kashmera Shah, Giorgia Andrani and her other friends. In another photo, Shehnaaz was seen posing with Monalisa. The event had taken place after over three months of Sidharth's death, and Shehnaaz was seen enjoying as she had attended it. The actress was also trolled by the netizens for laughing after Sidharth's death.

Shehnaaz Gill opened up about the incident in her recent appearance on Shilpa Shetty's chat show, Shape of You, which focuses on mental health and physical fitness. The actress remembered the late actor and her rumoured boyfriend, Sidharth Shukla as she reacted to getting trolled for enjoying herself after his death. She said:
"If I get the chance to laugh, then I will laugh, I will stay happy. If I feel like celebrating Diwali then I will celebrate Diwali. Because happiness is very important in life. I also try to do that by myself. Today is the first time I am talking about this and it's only because you are asking me to. Otherwise, I never talk about these things no matter who says what."
Further in the chat show, Shehnaaz said that Sidharth had always wanted her to be happy. The doting girlfriend also mentioned that she will continue to be happy, no matter what people say. Sharing that she has a long way to go, Shehnaaz said:
"Sidharth ne mujhe kabhi nahi bola ki has mat. Sidharth mujhe hamesha haste hue dekhna chahta tha, aur mai hamesha hasungi, aur mai apna kaam jari rakhungi kyunki mujhe bahot aage jaana hai life mein."

During the course of the show, Bigg Boss 13, Shehnaaz had fallen in love with Sidharth Shukla, and he, too, was seen protecting and pampering her. Although Sidharth had never accepted that he was dating Shehnaaz, but the latter's true love for him was known to everyone. Now, in the conversation with Shilpa Shetty, Shehnaaz opened up about her bond with the late actor and said:
"Why should I tell anyone about my relationship with Sidharth? What was my connection with him, what was my relationship with him, I don't need to be answerable to anyone. How important he was to me, how important I was to him, that I know. So I don't have to give any explanation to anyone."
This isn't the first time that Shehnaaz Gill has talked about late Sidharth Shukla. A few months back, in a conversation with Sidharth's guru maa, sister BK Shivani, Shehnaaz had shared how she told Sidharth that she had always wished to talk to sister Shivani and how he had assured her that they would connect someday. Shehnaaz had also mentioned that she has become strong now and has realised how people should cherish the memories of those who have passed away. She had said:
"Humari journey abhi hai, unki journey complete ho chuki hai. Unka kapda change ho chuka hai lekin woh kahin na kahin aa chuke hain..shakal unki change ho gayi hai but woh dobara iss roop mein aa chuke hain. Unka account mere saath abhi ke liye band ho gaya hai... phir may be continue hoga."
