The morning of September 2, 2021, had come as a thunderstorm in Bigg Boss 13 contestant, Shehnaaz Gill's life as she had lost Sidharth Shukla to cardiac arrest, whom she loved more than anything. The actor's death at the mere age of 40 was shocking for everyone. However, it is Shehnaaz, who is shaken to the core after his death.
Shehnaaz Gill and Sidharth Shukla had met on the reality show, Bigg Boss 13. While Shehnaaz was madly in love with him, Sidharth had considered her to be a very good friend. In fact, Shehnaaz was even ready to give up the winner's trophy for him. The duo's camaraderie had gained so much popularity that they had started trending as #SidNaaz. However, destiny had something else in store as the actor left for his heavenly abode.

Since Sidharth Shukla's death, Shehnaaz's father, Santokh Singh has been trying his best so that she can get back to normal life. He got her name tattooed on his hand and the pictures of the same have gone viral like anything. Many videos and pictures created a lot of buzz on the internet in which Santokh Singh can be seen getting inked. Other photos also show him flaunting Shehnaz Gill's name between folded hands tattoo and a rose.
In an interview with SpotboyE, Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 contestant, Abhinav Shukla, who was Sidharth Shukla's close friend, had shared an update about Shehnaaz Gill's condition after the demise of her loved one. He shared that he and his wife, Rubina Dilaik had visited her mother, and she had shared this information. He had said, ''I pray and wish all the strength to Shehnaaz Gill and Sidharth Shukla’s family. I and Rubina met her mother and she is coping well. I pray that god assuages their anguish.”

In a conversation with SpotboyE, Shehnaaz Gill's father, Santokh Singh had talked about her situation after Sidharth Shukla's death. He had said, "I am not in the condition to talk right now. I cannot believe whatever has happened." When he was asked if he had talked to Shehnaaz after Sidharth's death, he had stated, "I spoke to her. She is not fine. My son Shehbaaz has left for Mumbai to be with her and I will be going later."
Sidharth's friends, Aly Goni and Jasmin Bhasin had landed at the Mumbai airport from Ladakh as soon as they had received the news of his death. When Aly had reached Sidharth's house, he was heartbroken to see a devasted state of all-time bubbly Shehnaaz. The actor had tweeted, "Chehra jo hamesha haste hue dekha.. khush dekha… lekin aaj jaisa dekha bass dil toot gaya stay strong sana (The face that we used to know always smiling, happy...but today what I saw, it was heartbreaking. Stay strong Sana (Shehnaaz)."
