Shekhar Ravjiani's Left Vocal Chord Was Paralysed, Singer Reveals On Losing His Voice, 2 Years Ago

Shekhar Ravjiani, opened up about his vocal health condition which caused him to lose his voice. Read on to know further.

Ace singer and music director Shekhar Ravjiani faced a life-changing health scare two years ago in 2022. He took the guts to open up about how his left vocal cord was paralysed, and he was diagnosed with Vocal Cord Paresis. Shekhar had lost his voice because of the same and was in a pessimistic state. A while ago, on November 19, 2024, he took to his Instagram handle to share something he had never spoken about.

Shekhar Ravjiani writes an emotional post on how he had lost his voice

The Tujhe Bhula Diya singer mustered the courage to share with the world that he had lost his voice two years ago. He was diagnosed with Left Vocal Chord Paresis' by Dr Nupur Nerurkar. He was destroyed and thought he would never be able to sing again. His family was worried, and he was not happy seeing them all stressed out. Shekhar revealed:

"I just prayed harder. I didn't stop working. Kept trying, kept pushing."

Shekhar Ravjiani thanks the doctor who motivated him to stay positive

Shekhar, in his long post, also revealed that amid his health issue, he had to travel to San Diego for a few weeks. Over there, he met Jeremy who connected him to an angel, Dr Erin Walsh. He could not meet her because of COVID. They had a Zoom call, and he recollected crying a river. In the words of Shekhar:

"I remember tears rolling down uncontrollably as I told her that I wanted to be able to sing again. I begged her to please do something."

How Shekhar Ravjiani was cured of Left Vocal Chord Paresis

In his post, Shekhar mentioned that Dr Erin Walsh had told him not to blame himself for what had happened to his voice. They both spoke at length, and the doctor made Shekhar feel comfortable. Miraculously, she had given him the news that he could sing, which was the first baby step. Shekhar did not like his voice because he used to croak, which made him cry. He credited Dr. Erin Walsh for her sheer determination, dedication, and positivity, which made his paralysed left vocal cord return to normal within a few weeks.

Shekhar Ravjani's other half, Vishal Dadlani, reacts to his health

Shekhar's fans could not stop praising the singer, who had made a recovery. They sent them their good vibes and also reminisced about his songs. However, music director and composer Vishal of the Vishal-Shekhar duo told Shekhar that he had an iron will.
