Shibani Dandekar gave a befitting reply to trolls criticizing her Karwa Chauth post, calling it a monetary ploy.
The most adorable couple in B-town, Shibani Dandekar and Farhan Akhtar surprised everyone with their intimate Christian wedding ceremony on February 19, 2022. For the unversed, the much-in-love couple had dated each other for three long years before finally entering a new phase of their lives. And since then, we have been witnessing beautiful glimpses of their married life.
On October 13, 2022, Shibani Dandekar celebrated her first Karwa Chauth and posted glimpses of herself. Looking stunning in a red-coloured velvet dress, Shibani flaunted her delicate diamond mangalsutra from the brand, Bulgari. Along with the pictures, Shibani revealed that she didn’t keep fast for her husband, Farhan and had written:
“Immortalizing my first-ever Karwachauth with this beautiful and timeless @bulgari Mangalsutra. Needless to say, I didn't fast but the Love and Banter for @faroutakhtar says it all. Let's celebrate Love."

After Shibani shared the post, a series of haters started trolling her and called her post, a monetary ploy. A user named Otherwarya (Aishwarya Subramanyam) posted a screenshot of the reply she got on her post. The reply can be read as “Very surprised Shibani Dandekar got on the KC (Karwa Chauth) wagon. Or maybe I should not be surprised… all monetary.” On this, she replied:
“Please never be surprised, All. Celebrities. Are. The Same.”

Aishwarya’s post irked Shibani, and she made sure to give it back to the trolls with her befitting response. Taking to her IG stories, Shibani wrote:
“There is a not so new bully in town. My mind is blown by how incredibly nasty people are. Aishwarya you are as nasty as they come. This is how you spend your time? Spreading hate on the internet? At least have the balls to tag me like I’m going to tag you @otherwarya. P.S. I am stating the obvious. I really do not need life advice from you! How sad that you have become this brave keyword warrior and think we will all sit here and take your bullshit and be silent!”
The war of words didn’t end there, the user named Otherwarya (Aishwarya Subramanyam) responded to Shibani’s response and called out her for marketing patriarchy. Calling the Bulgari mangalsutra a paid promotion, Otherwarya commented:
“Sorry Shibani, you seemed to have blocked me so where are those balls you talk of? One day I’ll have to talk about what spreading hate actually is and how it’s different from laughing at or commenting on famous people in the public eye especially when they market patriarchy. Which bit of this message is nasty or not accurate? The Bulgari mangalsutra is a paid promotion, no? People are disappointed in you and that’s quite natural. I have no problem at all with people not staying silent, say whatever you like, it’s a free internet. We’d all do well to remember that.
