Having a sister is like your permanent gossip company, a partner in crime, that best friend who will be always with you in all your life’s highs and lows. She is your confidant and can also take up the role of a mother sometimes. Such is a relationship between sisters! This is exactly the bond between celebrity sister duo, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Shamita Shetty. (You May Also Like: Priyanka Is Super-Excited For Baby Bro Siddharth's Wedding, Pens A Heartfelt Note On Siblings Day)

In an interaction with the Hindustan Times sometime back, Shamita had revealed the “strong bond” and “great equation” she shares with her elder sister, Shilpa. She had stated, “There was so much she could advise me on and ensured that I didn’t make the [same] mistakes that she did when she joined films. There is so much that I have learnt from Shilpa. She also didn’t come from any filmi background, so I took lessons from her mistakes.”

Lately, Shamita hit the headlines for apparently misbehaving with one of her fans. On February 17, 2019, Shamita Shetty was asked for a selfie by a star-struck female fan, who couldn’t get the hold of her phone for the picture out of nervousness. So, to get the right angle and click a selfie, Shamita grabbed the phone herself and clicked. This act of her didn’t go well with a few social media users and they started targeting her online. (Checkout: Meghna Naidu Of 'Kaliyon Ka Chaman' Fame, Kept Her Marriage Secret For 2 Years, With A Tennis Player)

Soon Shamita clarified by taking it to her social media and wrote a note that could be read as, “Feel sad today. Nobody really understands the state of mind of an artist. I was rushing out of the place with an emergency to attend too, with a slip disc in my neck. I don’t want to get into details of that but I still complied with a photo to my fans waiting there but it was taking so long that I was getting impatient.”

Explaining the situation further, Shamita had written, “I can’t walk around with a board that I’m under medical treatment for a very painful neck slip disc but try to keep a smile on my face & did take pic n helped her take the pic as she was struggling with the right lighting. I’m aware as celebrities we are constantly judged especially in the world of social media where it’s very easy for people to say things. I take it in my stride but there’s no need to hit below the belt, it’s because I cared that I still took those photos.”

And concluded by writing, “I love my fans n respect the love and admiration they give me and that will always be a constant in my life!! In the normal case I wouldn’t want to clarify but felt the need to this time. I’m fallible as I’m a human being and do hurt. We all have bad days. Maybe that was mine. That doesn’t make us bad people. Sending you all positivity, love and light.”

After this, Shilpa supported her and had commented on the post, “Judgments are a confession of ones own character. @shamitashetty_official do your karma, this is part and parcel of our life… lots of pros a few cons” followed by heart and kiss emojis. (Do Read: Sunny Leone's Daughter, Nisha Weber Baked A Cake For Her Mom And Dad's Anniversary [Pictures Inside])

On February 1, 2019, it was Shamita’s birthday and the lovely sister, Shilpa had taken to her Instagram to wish the birthday girl. Sharing the below video, Shilpa had written, “Now that you are finally 18 u can go and vote. but in the meanwhile, I vote u the best sister in the world. Happy Birthday @shamitashetty_official ,my crazy, fun , hottie and magnificent #tunki may your spirit be full of fire and you light up all our lives with your brilliance Wishing all your dreams to manifest cause u deserve it and more Shine on my #shamster #birthday #birthdaygirl #sistersquad #sis #love #friends #phuketdiaries #memories.”

In an interaction with the IANS, Shamita had talked about her career and was quoted as saying, “There are many times when I sit back and try to analyse the things that I could have done differently. Maybe I should have taken on more work, but then again I don’t know if I would have been happy doing work that I was not convinced with.”

Adding further, she had stated, “Unfortunately, giving up on work because I was not convinced (meant) I would not be seen onscreen too much (and) made people think that I left the industry, which was really not the case. On the whole, I don’t think I have any regrets. Every decision that I have made, and all the ups and downs made me the person that I am. I am happy and content. I go with the flow and I don’t fight situations anymore. I have learnt to be happy with whatever I have.”

What a lovely video of the sister duo, Shilpa and Shamita! What do you guys have to say on this? Do keep us posted!
