Shilpa Shetty And Mother, Sunanda Shetty Declared Innocent In Alleged Fraud Case, Have No Connection

Bollywood actress, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her mother, Sunanda Shetty, who were booked in an alleged fraud case by the Lucknow police, have been declared innocent. Details inside!

The past one month has been very tough for the Shetty-Kundra family as Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her family has been leading the headlines for all the wrong reasons. It was her husband, Raj Kundra, who was arrested earlier in July for his alleged involvement in the production and publication of pornographic films. Then Shilpa's mother, Sunanda Shetty had fallen prey to a fraud person, who had sold her a piece of land by giving her false papers in return.

August 9, 2021, had brought another blow for Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her mother, Sunanda Shetty as an FIR was lodged against them with the Lucknow police. It was reported that Shilpa and her mother owned a wellness centre, and crores of money had been taken for the same. However, the promises were not fulfilled by the Shetty family.

Kiran Bawa, Chairperson of the IOSIS Wellness Centre, took to her IG handle to clarify that Shilpa Shetty and her mother have no connection whatsoever with her wellness centre. The post can be read as "This is pertaining to news articles, various videos and posts and social media which is unfortunately gaining unnecessary and unwarranted uproar. I am addressing this post as a responsible person, being the Chairperson of IOSIS Spa & Wellness Private Limited and therefore, request people to please verify and confirm the facts before posting and sharing it on social media or on such other platforms."

Kiran Bawa requested the media to stop spreading rumours as she is a single mother, who is working hard day and night. The post further read as "Ms. Shilpa Shetty and her mother Ms. Sunanda Shetty have no connection with IOSIS. We have parted ways amicable long ago. Hence, please stop spreading rumours and aspersions. I am a single parent and a hardworking professional. IOSIS is my baby and a brand I have built over the years. I am more than happy to verify facts with the concerned authorities. Till then I humbly request you to remove these posts as the matter is sub Judice in the Hon'ble High Court of Bombay where we have orders in our favour."

Kiran also shared that the false reports in the media are causing harm to her brand's name. She further added in the statement, "Such negligence in reporting defamatory content is causing me and my brand name irreparable damage for which I have taken utmost efforts and pains to create a goodwill and reputation. Regards, Kiran Bawa, Chairperson, IOSIS Wellness." Therefore, Kiran's statement made it clear that neither Shilpa Shetty nor Sunanda Shetty is associated with the wellness centre.

According to an earlier report by the IANS, two FIRs had been filed at Hazratganj and Vibhuti Khand police stations in Lucknow. The report had stated that Shilpa was the chairperson of IOSIS Wellness Centre whereas her mother, Sunanda Shetty was the director. It was also alleged that the mother-daughter duo had taken crores of rupees from two people in the name of opening a branch of the wellness centre, but the promise was not fulfilled.
