Shilpa Shetty fulfilled her mother, Sunanda Shetty's wish. Check out as they went to Varanasi for 'Ganga aarti'
Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who has now become the most loved Bollywood mom, was one of the topmost actresses of her generation. With her dance moves and fashion picks, Shilpa enjoyed massive fandom in the 90s and continues to do so till date. She fell in love with her biggest admirer, Raj Kundra, a businessman by profession, and tied the knot with him on November 22, 2009.
Besides being a fitness freak and a fantastic entrepreneur, Shilpa is also a doting daughter to Sunanda Shetty. Shilpa shares a warm bond with her mommy because she is the one who always believed in her dreams. And recently, the gorgeousness fulfilled one of her mother’s wishes of visiting Varanasi and glimpses from the same are unmissable.

On November 14, 2022, Shilpa Shetty took to her IG feed and dropped a beautiful video from the ghats of Varanasi. In the clip, Shilpa performed Ganga aarti with her mom, Sunanda Shetty. While the actress looked pretty in a white floral churidaar, her mom was clad in a red ethnic ensemble. Their private sightseeing included evening aarti, Kashi darshan and visiting markets and temples. Alongside it, she penned:
“Jai ma gange. Har har mahadev.”

Shilpa Shetty rose to fame after her stint in the popular reality show, Big Brother. She had participated in the game show without knowing its format. However, the actress came back to India after lifting the trophy. In an old interview with Mashable India, Shilpa had revealed that she got scared after watching a few episodes of the show. Still, it was her mother, Sunanda, who straightway said to the show’s makers that they are Indians and Shilpa would not do anything inappropriate on television. She had said:
"I saw a couple of episodes, and I got scared with what I saw. I said I am not going to do all of this. So my contract was very watertight. My mother told them very clearly ‘Listen we are Indians, and we won’t do this baring all and all of that."

Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Shilpa had called her mom an astrologist as she was the first one to predict that her daughter would become a popular actress one day. Talking about the same, she had said:
"My mother is actually an astrologist, and she's not learnt it. She is just gifted with it. I remember when I was 10, she had told me that I'm going to grow up and (become an actress). I had lost some lame competition in school. I felt I was really ugly when I was a child. I was very tall and lanky."
We love Shilpa and Sunanda’s beautiful bond. They are one of the best mother-daughter duos in Bollywood.
