Shilpa Shetty Says 'Aurat Ko Apne Pati Ke Baad, Ladai Ladni Padti Hai', Talks About Women's Struggle

Shilpa Shetty Kundra had kept herself away from the limelight since her husband, Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Police on July 19, 2021. Her husband was arrested by the crime branch for alleged involvement in the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some apps.

Raj Kundra is said to be the key conspirator in the case. Since Raj’s arrest, his family has been brutally trolled by the netizens. For the longest time, Shilpa Shetty Kundra was underground, later on, August 2, 2021, she had made an official statement regarding her husband’s arrest. Shilpa had also attended a COVID-19 fundraiser, We For India, and had talked about negativity. This time, Shilpa has talked about how a woman has to fight for herself after her husband, on the reality show, Super Dancer 4.

A few hours back, the makers of Super Dancer 4 released a promo of the upcoming episode of the show, through which, Shilpa Shetty Kundra made her comeback on the reality show as a judge. In the video, a contestant can be seen paying tribute to Laxmi Bai’s story, after which, Shilpa shared her reaction to the performance and talked about women’s struggle in society.

Talking about how women have to fight for their rights after their husbands, Shilpa Shetty said, “Main Jhansi ki Rani ke baare mein jab bhi sunti hu, mujhe aise lagta hai ke samaj ka chehra dikta hai. Kyun ki aaj bhi, aurat ko apne haq ke liye, apne pati ke baad, ladai ladni padti hai, apne asistva ke liye, apne bachcho ke liye. This story, it gives us women the power to fight and she fought with her life. Jhansi ki Rani was really a superwoman."

Shilpa Shetty also shared how she feels proud when she thinks of some fearless women. She added, "This was reality, this is our history and it just makes me very proud that we come from a country of such fearless women. Mera seena na chauda ho jata hai ke koi bhi situation ho, hum aurato mein wo power hai, ke hum lad sakte hai, uss aurat ke liye jo apne haq ke liye ladti hai, unn sabhi ko aaj mera sashtang dandvat pranam."

It was on August 18, 2021, when Shilpa Shetty Kundra had made her first public appearance after Raj Kundra's arrest. The actress had resumed shooting after a rollercoaster of emotions for a month. Shilpa had returned to the reality show, Super Dancer as she is a co-judge with Anurag Basu and Geeta Kapur.

Her return on the show was not appreciated by the netizens as they had trolled her. While some had made fun of the actress' awkward wave at the paps, others had commented why she is not laughing now. One user had written, "Why is she not laughing today?", the other had commented, "As if nothing happened hubby’s in jail; she’s on set".
