Bollywood actress, Shilpa Shetty compared the kids of her generation and the present generation and stated that her son, Viaan doesn't listen to her.
Shilpa Shetty is one of the most stunning and talented actresses in the entertainment industry. Even at the age of 48, the actress gives tough competition to her young contemporaries with her fitness level. From working in blockbuster films like Dhadkan to winning the hearts of millions with her sizzling moves in the song, Main Aayi Hoon U.P. Bihar Lootne, Shilpa has carved her name in the world of acting. Currently, the diva is gearing up for her next film, Sukhee and is busy with the promotions of the same. For the unversed, Shilpa is happily married to Raj Kundra and they are blessed with two beautiful kids, Viaan and Samisha.
In an interview with Money Control, Shilpa Shetty opened up about her school days. Talking about the same, the actress added that she was quite an average student in her childhood. Further, Shilpa added that things were different back then and compared the kids of her generation and the Gen-Z's. Elaborating more on it, the actress stated that her 11-year-old, son, Viaan acts older than his age. Adding that he doesn't listen to her, Shilpa said:
"I was quite an average student, and had my group of friends. But we are talking about 30 years ago! Things were different then, people were different, and those days we kids listened to our parents! I have an 11-year-old who is going on 30 and does not listen to me! It’s just a different time."

In an earlier interview with News18 Showsha, Shilpa had opened up about how she balances her work and personal life. Talking about the same, the actress credited her darling husband, Raj Kundra for her healthy work-life balance. Mentioning that she gets encouragement from Raj, Shilpa stated that she is able to do so much work because of the people in her life. In her words:
"I think I’m able to do so much because I’ve that encouragement from my husband and the people around me. I also have been brought up in a home where I’ve seen my mum work all the time. So, that sense of work ethic, respect and the whole value system come from there where I think it’s okay to have your mum work for ten hours and you only get to see her on weekends."
Further, in the same conversation, Shilpa stated that she always wanted to have an identity of her own, even after marriage. Adding that women can have their own identity despite being married, the actress stated that she is not dependent on her husband. Shilpa also talked about her career and stated that she is a proud woman who never stopped working. Adding that she chooses what to work on, the actress said that being relevant beyond her films is the most significant achievement in her life.

In one of her earlier interviews with Bollywood Bubble, Shilpa talked about her husband, Raj Kundra, and praised him. The actress stated that they are 'soulmates' when asked about their journey from their dating period to the present day. Mentioning that they knew they were meant for each other from the beginning, Shilpa said that Raj really understands her. Elaborating more on it, the actress stated that, according to her, friendship is the most important aspect of a marriage.
