'Yeh Hain Mohabbatein' fame, Shireen Mirza got engaged to her beau, Hasan Sartaj a few days back. In an interview, Shireen revealed why she got emotional during the ceremony.
Popularly known as Simran 'Simmi' Bhalla Khurana from the hit TV show, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Shireen Mirza is on cloud nine as she is engaged to her beau, Hasan Sartaj. Some time ago, Shireen had confirmed her relationship with a Delhi-based IT guy, Hasan Sartaj and since then she had been posting their love-filled pictures on her social media handle.
On August 5, 2021, Shireen Mirza and Hasan Sartaj got engaged in an intimate ceremony in the presence of their family members and close friends. For the ceremony, Shireen had opted for an aqua-blue lehenga and had looked stunning. Shireen's close friend and actress, Krishna Mukherjee, had shared some cutesy pictures, where the couple had looked utterly happy.

In an interview with ETimes, Shireen talked about her engagement with Hasan and revealed why she got teary-eyed. Speaking about the same, Shireen said, "It was an emotional moment for me. In fact, my parents also became teary-eyed as Hasan raised a toast and said a few emotional lines. When we exchanged rings and I looked into his eyes, I could visualize my entire beautiful future and it made me emotional also, with the feeling of leaving my parents and starting a new journey coming to my mind every now and then. But on the other hand, I feel blessed when I see my in-laws."
Shireen and Hasan had an intimate engagement ceremony in the presence of their close ones. Revealing how her best friend and co-actor, Krishna Mukherjee gave a pleasant surprise to her, Shireen continued, "Due to the pandemic, we kept it a close affair with our families. Hasan booked the place where I always wanted one of our ceremonies to take place. Krishna Mukherjee, my friend and co-actor from Yeh Hain Mohabbatein, flew down from Mumbai and gave me a pleasant surprise. Actually, this was planned by Hasan and Krishna."

Though their wedding date is not yet finalised, the beautiful actress wants it to be grand. Sharing her thought about the same, Shireen said, "The date is yet to be finalised but it’s going to be a grand affair in my hometown Jaipur. With everything based on Rajasthani theme, it’s going to be one big event, with sangeet, mehendi and several other ceremonies."
A few moments back, Shireen took to her IG handle and shared cutesy pictures with Hasan. In the pictures, the madly-in-love couple was seen flaunting their customised night suits, with 'nap king' and 'nap queen' written on them.
For the uninitiated, Shireen had received the sweetest proposal from her dream guy, Hasan, in February 2021. On her IG handle, Shireen had shared pictures from the same and had written, "Saying 'yes' has never been so easy. I can't wait to have an endless adventure with my favourite weirdo. Cheers to us, babe!"
