Shivaji Satam Reveals If 'ACP Pradyuman's Role Will Be Revived On 'CID', 'Everyone Deserves A Break'

Shivaji Satam revealed that he had no clue that his character would be killed off on 'CID'. He also shared if he had any idea about his role in returning to the iconic show.

Sony Entertainment Television's show, CID first aired on television on January 21, 1998. It went on for 20 years successfully and then went off air in 2018, only to return in December 2024 after a six-year-long hiatus. While all the characters of the show are much-loved it's the role of 'ACP Pradyuman' who acts as a glue that holds the entire show together. Recently, the makers of CID confirmed the buzz that 'ACP Pradyuman' would no longer be a part of the show.

Shivaji Satam reveals if he will be back on CID

The role has been played by Shivaji Satam for 22 years, and now his character will no longer be a part of the show. Well, Shivaji Satam recently talked about the same and revealed that he has no idea about her character going off the track. Talking to the Bombay Times, Shivaji Satam shared that he had no clue about the same, and the makers are the best ones to know what is ahead of the show.

Shivaji Satam said that he's taken a few days off from the show, and he has also learned to take everything in his stride, and if his character is off the air, then he's okay with it. He also clarified that he was not told whether his character would go off the track or not, and as of now, he's not shooting for the show. In Shivaji Satam's words:

"I have no clue about this. I have taken a break for some time, and the makers know what lies ahead in the show. I have learnt to take everything in my stride, and if my track is over, I am okay with it. However, I have not been told whether my track is over or not! As of now, I am not shooting for the show."

In the same interview, Shivaji Satam shared that he is planning a holiday in May 2025, as his son will come to India. He stated that the show has given him a lot, but people should also take a break after all these years of hard work. He further mentioned that he has not been informed whether his character will be revived or not, but for now, he will be on a break. Shivaji Satam can be quoted as saying:

"I am planning to go on a holiday in May, because my son who lives abroad is coming to India. I have enjoyed playing ACP for 22 years in the earlier season. It has been a great journey. The show has given me a lot. As of now I am just taking a break and am going to enjoy my life. I have worked hard, and everyone deserves a break. Whether my track will be revived or not is something the makers know well."

Parth Samthaan replaced Shivaji Satam on CID and he recently talked about the same

On the other hand, Parth Samthaan reportedly replaced Shivaji Satam on the show, CID. Talking about the same, he told the Hindustan Times that it has been an iconic show, and when he told his family about getting a role in the show, they thought the actor was joking. Parth said when he revealed that he told them about being serious about getting the role, they were really proud of him. He shared that he would be playing the role of 'ACP Ayushmann' on the show and would investigate ACP Pradyuman's murder. Parth added that he was in two minds after he was offered this role as he was sceptical about filling the shoes of such an iconic character.
