It was on the first week of May 2018, when reports of Akash Ambani proposing to Shloka Mehta had created headlines. The duo had officially gotten engaged on June 30, 2018, and many who’s who of the Tinseltown had in unison, become a part of the celebration. Many pictures and videos of their pre-engagement and engagement ceremony are still doing the rounds on the internet and needless to say, we haven’t gotten over them yet! The Ambanis had arranged a pre-engagement mehendi ceremony for all the ladies out there and the then-bride-to-be, Shloka Mehta had looked stupendous in all of her attires. Donning a blue lehenga with gota jewellery, the then happy bride-to-be had broken into a super-happy jig with her BFFs as they all flaunted their mehendi. Priyanka Chopra, who is quite close to the Ambanis had attended the mehendi and posted a beautiful picture. Dressed in a grey saree, Priyanka once again had taken our breath away! Sharing a picture with the then-soon-to-be-married couple, Shloka and Akash, PeeCee had written, “Congratulations Akash and Shloka!! Priyanka Chopra had also shared a picture where, the then soon-to-be-wed, nanad-bhabhi jodi, Isha Ambani and Shloka Mehta indulged in a twinning session. For Shloka Mehta’s mehendi (for her wedding) ceremony, her look and lehenga had blown off our minds! Shloka was dressed in an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla ensemble which was a pastel-hued hand-embroidered lehenga that she has teamed up with minimal diamond jewellery. The designer duo had captioned her first mehendi look as, “Love in Full Bloom! And it was then, on March 09, 2019, when first-ever pictures of the Shloka Mehta as a bride came by. Looking super-happy as a bride by donning herself in an all red, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla avatar, Shloka’s pictures surely gave us major #BrideGoals. With very simple makeup, what looked like it, Shloka had wanted to divulge maximum attention to her wedding dress and exquisite jewellery. The Ambani badi bahu had gone by the bridal colour of red and golden and had teamed up her wedding ensemble with a heavy kundan necklace, maatha patti, nath and traditional earrings. Shloka Mehta now is happily married to Akash Ambani. In an interview to an online portal, Shloka had spoken about keeping pace with her relationship inspite of their hectic schedules. She was quoted as saying, “Despite years and busy schedules, we have always found ways to stay connected. Akash is incredibly grounded, and we share a bond based on meaning and memories. We don't just get along - we also support each other's hopes and aspirations and are determined to build a sense of purpose into our lives together. While Akash Ambani had revealed, “I am truly happy that our friendship has blossomed into love and Shloka and I are getting married, she is a truly special and extremely kind-hearted person”. In another interview with a leading media portal, Nita Ambani, post-Akash and Shloka’s proposal had said, “I have known Shloka since she was four and we are all delighted to welcome her to our home and our hearts”. A source close to the family had revealed, “Shloka is a very charming girl, extremely cultured and it’s difficult to say which of the two families is lucky with this upcoming marriage.”
