After 4 years of dating each other, Sasural Simar Ka fame couple, Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim tied the knot on February 22, 2018. Their wedding was a private yet a fun-filled affair. Since their wedding, Dipika has been working very hard to adapt to her new religion and its customs. But has she succeeded? We definitely don’t need to tell you that!
It’s Eid and fans and followers can’t be more excited to catch a glimpse of what one of their most favourite jodi is doing. More so, because it’s Dipika’s first Eid post-marriage, and she seems to be totally involved in its preparations and celebrations.
As a regular Eid custom, the ladies apply henna on their hands for the occasion. Dipika too, followed the ritual and applied very beautiful mehendi on her hands. But there is something different in her mehendi which warms our heart. Can you figure out what is it from the following video? (Hint: It’s got something to do with someone's name.)
Did you figure it out? Yes! The doting wife tattooed Shoaib’s name in her first Eid mehendi! Now, isn’t that totally adorable? In fact, one of Dipika’s fans had specifically come to adorn her hands with henna. In an interview with the TOI, Dipika shared, “Preparations are in full-swing. The best part about my family is that there are too many ladies and currently we all are on shopping spree. I will be getting mehendi applied on my hand. One of my fans had come home especially do apply mehendi on my hand.” Shoaib, who is currently keeping very busy with his show, Jeet Gayee Toh Piya Mohrre, has been warned by Dipika to take a leave on Eid. In the same interview, as soon as she was addressed as Mrs Ibrahim, Dipika quipped, “The title itself makes me blush”. The actress looked stunning in a green sharara which she got it designed from her close friend, Aaliya. With full enthusiasm and excitement, she said, “I am very excited and I am looking forward to this Eid. To make the festival even more special, I have got a special outfit designed by my friend. It is a bottle green sharara made by my friend Aaliya. I wanted to wear a bottle green sharara for my first Eid and I have finally managed to try it.”
The actress has also taken full kitchen responsibilities as she will prepare a three-course meal for her hubby and family. At the same interview on June 14, 2018), she had said, “From tomorrow, I will take over the kitchen responsibilities. I am cooking too many dishes. Starting from chat to starters to main course biryani and obviously it won't be complete without sheer korma. But exactly what all I will be cooking that you will get to know on Eid itself. I would like to wish all my fans a very happy Eid”.
We wish Dipika, Shoaib and all our readers a very happy Eid al-Fitr!
