Shraddha Kapoor shared a series of pictures of her late 'aaji', Lata Mangeshkar, along with a painful note in which she called her 'greatest of all times.' Check it out!
Late legendary singer and the 'Nightingale of India', Lata Mangeshkar, was born on September 28, 1929, and was undoubtedly one of the greatest playback singers globally. From recording songs in 36 Indian languages to being bestowed with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1989, Lata Mangeshkar was the first Indian to perform at Royal Albert Hall, London. The 92-year-old singer was admitted to the Breach Candy hospital in January 2022 after being tested positive for COVID-19. However, she had recovered from the COVID-19, but she was put on a ventilator after her health had deteriorated.
Sadly, it was on February 6, 2022, when Lata Mangeshkar had passed away, leaving an unmatchable legacy behind. Shraddha Kapoor shared an emotional note remembering her aaji and dropped some never-seen-before pictures of the iconic singer.

On February 8, 2022, Shraddha Kapoor took to her Instagram handle and shared three priceless pictures of her aaji, Lata Mangeshkar, as she remembered her after her demise on February 6, 2022. The first picture featured a young Shraddha sitting with Lata Mangeshkar and posing for the camera with a cute smile, as she looked super-excited to get a photo with the legendary singer. The second photo was a monochrome one from Lata Mangeshkar's younger days, and the last one was a picture from the singer's teenage years. Along with these three surreal pictures, Shraddha penned a painful note in the caption, in which she titled her aaji as the 'greatest of all times.' Her note can be read as:
"I will forever cherish the honour of having shared precious moments with you. Your hand on my head, your warm gaze, your loving words of encouragement. Thank you for your simplicity, divinity, excellence and grace. Truly The Greatest of all time! I love You Lata Aaji."
For the unversed, Shraddha Kapoor and the late Lata Mangeshkar have an extremely close family relation. Actually, Lata Mangeshkar's cousin brother was Shraddha's maternal grandfather, Pandit Padharinath Kolhapure. Shraddha is the granddaughter of Lata Mangeshkar. Another interesting fact about Shraddha's maternal grandfather, Pandit Padharinath, is that he was also a singer, just like his cousin sister, Lata Mangeshkar. However, his expertise was in the classical area of music. So maybe now you'll know why Shraddha is quite good at singing.

A day before Lata Mangeshkar's demise on February 6, 2022, Shraddha Kapoor and her mother, Shivangi Kolhapure, had visited the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai to keep a check on the singer's health. The video of Shraddha and her mother, Shivangi, had gone viral on social media at that time as people were a bit scared about Lata Mangeshkar's health.
On September 28, 2021, late Lata Mangeshkar had turned a year older, and on her special day, Shraddha Kapoor had taken to her Instagram handle and had shared a beautiful family picture from her visit to her aaji. In the picture, we could see Shraddha posing with her beloved aaji, and it had spoken everything about their concrete bond. Along with this beautiful picture, Shraddha had penned a lovely note in the caption for Lata Mangeshkar, and it could be read as:
“Happy birthday Lata aaji @lata_mangeshkar.”
