One of the prime reasons why Premanand ji Maharaj has managed to gain respect on social media is due to the fact that he respects every religion and never tells people to convert to Sanatan Dharm. For the uninitiated, Premanand Ji Maharaj was born in 1972 in a small village in Kanpur's Sarsaul Block. Right from an early age, he developed a strong inclination towards spirituality. Not everyone is aware of the fact that Premanand Ji Maharaj's grandfather was also a sanyasi, which reportedly influenced him to follow the path of spirituality and lifelong celibacy.
Some time ago, a video was uploaded on Premanand Ji Maharaj's Instagram handle, Bhajan Marg, in which the spiritual guru talked about his father, Shri Shambhu Pandey. In the video, Premanand Ji Maharaj revealed that he ran away from his home when he was just a mere teenager and was found by his father three days later somewhere. After being caught by his father, Premanand Maharaj admitted that he was scared that his father would scold him. However, when his father told him to return to their home, he denied it by saying:
"Humari ye zindagi bhagwan ke naam hain, hum na toh ghar jayenge na aapki baat manenge."
When Premanand Maharaj said this to his father, Shri Shambhu Pandey, the latter hugged him and chanted Lord Ram's name three times. After this, the doting father blessed him and told him that no matter where he goes, he will succeed in doing what he aims to do in life. However, Shri Shambhu Pandey warned his son to fulfil his promise and not betray him and the Gods. Recalling his father's kind words, Premanand Maharaj said:
"Jao, agar usher mein bhi bethoge toh phoolo ki varsha hogi aur koi tumhara baal bhi baaka nahin kar sakta. Agar aap babaji bante ho, hamara aashirwaad hain ki usher mein bhi bethoge toh pholo ki varsha hogi par kisi ki behen beti dekhi toh fir. Toh humne bola aap zindagi mein ye baat kabhi nahin sunoge."
Premanand Maharaj promised his father that he would never break his celibacy and follow the path of spiritual awakening. The spiritual guru thanked his father for allowing him to dedicate his life to the almighty and stated that whenever you try to do something good in life, things align in a perfect order automatically.
