Shriya Pilgaonkar opened up about her organic path in the industry and also revealed anecdotes with her bond with parents and veteran actors, Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar!
The gorgeous diva, Shriya Pilgaonkar is the daughter of veteran actors, Sachin Pilgaonkar and Supriya Pilgaonkar. However, the actress claims that her journey in the entertainment industry was much different from that of other celebrity kids. In an interview, she shared the perks of being a celebrity kid and how she had carved a niche of her own. For the unversed, she appeared for the first time on TV in the serial, Tu Tu Main Main at the age of five. Afterwards, she was seen in many plays and theatres until she made her Bollywood debut with the film, Fan in 2016. Since then, she has never looked back and given one after another stunning performance.
In an interview with ETimes, Shriya Pilgaonkar was asked how difficult it was for her to break the typical star kid stereotype. To this, she quickly mentioned that she has an organic step-by-step journey in the industry and is quite happy about the same. Talking about how she is working hard to stay in the industry for a long run, she mentioned:
"I have never come from an entitled space or taken my privileges for granted. In fact, I have always moved away from any kind of entitlement. It is a very big compliment for me when people tell me how well I have carved my own path. Also, my journey has not been a typical starkid journey. It has been a step by step and organic journey. I don't consider my career to be 10-15 years old. I think of it as a 50-60 years long career. I am here to stay, which is why I don’t make decisions out of fear. I am here for the long run."

In the same conversation, Shriya was asked whether she has any fond memories of visiting the film's sets with her parents. To this, the gorgeous actress mentioned that since she was very much into swimming, most of her time used, she used to have training classes. However, since her parents have a lot of experiences to share with her, she feels like having a film school at her home. She added:
"When I was growing up, I was heavily into sports. I was a competitive swimmer, so most of my time would go into training. But yes, when my father was directing ‘Tu Tu Main Main’, sometimes when he needed a neighbour’s kid on the show, I would come and act. I think I was always comfortable in front of the camera. I realised I wanted to act much later. My parents have so much experience that I love to hear their stories. They have so much to share. I feel like I have a film school at home with both of them."
At the end of the conversation, Shriya threw light on her relationship with her mom, Supriya and her dad, Sachin. She shared that while Shriya and Supriya share everything like every mother-daughter, she and her daddy are more like friends. She also mentioned how her parents' feedback has always been important to her and concluded:
"I have a different kind of relationship with both. My mom is someone I share everything with. We are both very protective of dad. My father and I actually hang out together a lot. We both love food and discussing films. My dad and I are more like friends, while my mom is a confidante to me. She is quite stricter than he is. My mom is a perfectionist. She tells me if she likes something, but she will also be quite blunt and honest when needed. My father has a little more gentle way of saying things. Despite being quite active at work, they have always been present as parents and they have always encouraged me to go out and learn. Even when it comes to my work, I will always consider their feedback. They would never tell me what to do, but they would always help me ask the right questions in the process. They give me honest opinions, which come from them being artists and not just parents."
