Shweta Tiwari reacted to the claims made by her estranged husband, Abhinav Kohli that she abandoned their child, Reyansh to participate in the reality show, 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 11.'
Shweta Tiwari is a well-known name in the telly world, owing to her successful stints in various shows. While her professional life has only seen success, her personal life has been a roller coaster ride. First, her personal life had hit a low because of her failed marriage with Raja Chaudhary and then her second marriage with actor, Abhinav Kohli had also hit a rough patch. Shweta had become a victim of domestic violence and since then, the allegations game has been going on between her and Abhinav.

Shweta Tiwari has always been honest with her work commitments and on Friday morning, i.e., on May 7, 2021, she had left for Cape Town for the shoot of Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. Soon after, her estranged husband, Abhinav shared a series of videos on his IG handle, accusing Shweta of leaving for South Africa amid the pandemic, abandoning their son, Reyansh. He also alleged that Shweta had kept Reyansh in a hotel room with a servant. In the video, Abhinav was seen panicking to know the whereabouts of Reyansh and appealed to people to help him find his son. He even called the child helpline number to seek help.
As once again, Abhinav has put allegations on Shweta, the actress has again come forward to quash all the claims. In a conversation with the Bollywood Bubble, Shweta shared that she had already informed Abhinav about leaving for Cape Town and that Reyansh will stay with her family. She said, “I had informed Abhinav Kohli over a phone call that I am going to Cape Town and that Reyansh is safe with my family. My mother, my relatives, and Palak are there to take care of him. Plus, I will always be on video calls with Reyansh in between my shoot.”
She further shared that despite being telling him everything, Abhinav still made a scene out of it and she fails to understand his agenda behind all this. Sharing that he talks with Reyansh for an hour every day and yet creates a scene, she added, “I had informed Abhinav Kohli everything and I was surprised yet again to see the video he posted. I really don’t understand the agenda behind it, given that he speaks to Reyansh in the evening over call for about one hour, every day, without fail as per the High Court’s order. To be honest, as per the HC orders he is allowed to speak for only half an hour but he speaks for a longer period but we never stop him. Yet he claims that he doesn’t know where his child is and how he is doing. When I informed him, he wanted to know the address so that he could go there and trouble my family in my absence. He is doing all this only for that.”

Shweta also mentioned that the channel was ready to pay for her son, Reyansh’s trip and she could take her family along, but it was Abhinav, who had not given his consent for the same. Stating that she fails to understand Abhinav’s claims of abandoning their son, Shweta said, “The channel was, in fact, ready to pay for my son and my nanny’s tickets as well while I had to pay for my mother. I was ready to make them all travel with me to ensure maximum safety. However, Abhinav Kohli did not give me the consent which is required. He did not want Reyansh to be with me, whereas all I wanted was to keep my son close so he could be safer in my proximity. Nevertheless, I have made all the arrangements to ensure my baby is safe and is in regular touch with his father as well. I fail to understand his claims of me abandoning my child when he is very well aware of the safety measures taken.”
Shweta then mentioned that she is a single parent and have to work to raise her kids, and Abhinav has no right to question her when he is not even contributing a single penny to the growth of the kids. She said, “I am a single parent, I need to do the work to run my family. My kids’ well-being is my priority, and I have to fend for them and my family. For someone who is not contributing a single penny to the growth of kids, how easy is it to pull down someone who is trying to balance all their duties.”
