Shweta Tiwari revealed how her daughter, Palak Tiwari, dealt with her two failed and abusive marriages and her subsequent divorces.
Shweta Tiwari is one of the prominent names in the television industry. Known for her role as 'Prerna Sharma' in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, the 43-year-old has starred in several daily soaps, reality shows, and films. Apart from her professional front, Shweta's personal life has also garnered much limelight. For the uninitiated, she is a single mother to Palak Tiwari and Reyansh Kohli.
Recently, Shweta sat for an interview with Galatta India and shared how she was worried about Palak's childhood due to her abusive marriages and ugly divorces. The actress discussed that she was worried sick about the effects of such circumstances on her daughter. But Palak took everything positively and moulded herself accordingly. Shweta was quoted as saying:
"Palak when she used to see me in that phase, I often used to think about how her childhood would be when she grew up. Somehow, she took everything positively and moulded herself differently."

For those who don't know, Shweta has been married twice. First, she tied the knot with Raja Chaudhary in 1998, with whom she shares her daughter, Palak Tiwari. Their marriage hit rock bottoms, and the actress filed for divorce in 2007, which was granted in 2012. A year later, Shweta decided to give love another chance and got hitched to Abhinav Kohli in 2013. The couple welcomed their son, Reyansh Kohli, in 2016. Unfortunately, the actress parted ways with Abhinav in 2019 on the grounds of domestic violence.
Further, in the same interview with Galatta India, Shweta shared that it was Palak's sensibility that helped her become a strong woman. The doting mother heaped praise on her daughter, saying that she had understood earlier in life that if she didn't take herself for granted, no one ever could. In Shweta's words:
"Meri upbringing kam aur uski khud ki sensibility zayada hai. She herself is a powerful girl, she has understood that if you don’t take yourself for granted, nobody will. Nobody is going to help you. If you have a problem you need to sort it on your own. So she has learned to become emotionally strong from my journey. So that’s what made her strong, now she is a very sensitive child."

In the same conversation, Shweta Tiwari also opined on her daughter's dating rumours. At present, Palak is rumoured to be dating Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's son, Ibrahim Ali Khan. Sharing her thoughts on it, the actress discussed that her daughter laughs off these rumours. However, being a mother, she was worried that it might impact Palak emotionally. She said:
"Palak is strong right now, but tomorrow, some comment or article might just hit her confidence. She is still a kid. At times, things are so brutal, like she has an affair with every second boy! Even I don’t know how long she will tolerate all this. Even she is surprised about her dating rumours. She makes fun of it."
