As a single mother, she has raised two kids, Palak and Reyansh. She was previously married to Raja Chaudhary in 1998 at the age of 18, and she has a daughter, Palak, with him. After their bitter separation with him in 2007, Shweta tied the knot with Abhinav Kohli.

Shweta recently took to her Instagram stories and shared a picture of the book, The Tattooist of Auschwitz. In the next slide shared a picture on page 35 of the book where the protagonist was sharing how one can go to extreme lengths to save their loved ones' lives. She attached a love-stuck emoticon along the page's picture.
Vishal Aditya Singh, who rose to superstardom with his stint on the reality show Bigg Boss 13, is known for his blunt nature. In an interview with India Forums, Vishal reacted to the fake wedding photos and shared that he had seen them. He added that he can only laugh at the photos and can't do anything about it. Vishal was quoted as saying:
"Yes, I saw the pictures, too, and honestly, all I can do is laugh."
Vishal's relationship with Shweta is a significant part of his life. He shared that he doesn't feel the need to explain it to anyone, as people will form their own opinions regardless. He revealed that he addresses Shweta as 'Mom', and they share a strong bond. He said:
"I don't need to explain my relationship with Shweta because people will think whatever they want to. Shweta and I know the truth about our bond, why should I care about others' opinions. Everyone who knows us understands that I call her 'mom' and we share a great bond. These viral pictures don't bother me, just makes me laugh."
