Sikh Bride Ditched Red Lehenga And Wore White 'Chikankari Sharara' For Anand Karaj Ceremony

The bride of the week left our jaws dropped with her unique 'chikankari sharara', and how she styled it is giving us major inspiration.

A wedding day will come and go, but the memories will last forever. That's the reason why brides want every teeny-tiny detail of their wedding to be perfect. Over the decades, Indian weddings and bridal attires have evolved. In the 1920s, our wedding outfits were highly influenced by lace and pearl work. Then we saw an era when shararas and anarkalis ruled the hearts of coy brides.

However, no matter in which era we are in, a bride loves experiments. From different hues to styles for their big day, a millennial bride tries her hands on every new trend. Recently, we stumbled upon a Sikh bride, who ditched the laal shaadi ka joda and opted for a white chikankari sharara for the big day. For those who don't know, according to Indian belief, white is not considered the apt colour for the bride. Nowadays, brides are donning white-hued ensembles for the most special moments.

Meet the bride of the week, Jesicaa Singh, who got married to the love of her life, Nishchay Gandhi in a grand wedding ceremony. However, it was the bride's outfit of the day that left our jaws dropped. She ditched the heavy red lehenga and opted for a whimsical white sharara. Her outfit featured chikankari work all over the kurta. She styled her look with double dupattas. She had pinned one dupatta over her head, and another one was tightly secured over her shoulder with a matching belt.

The bride accentuated her look with a meenakari kundan choker with green drops, matching earrings, a maang teeka, and a passa. Her red bridal chooda added a pop of colour and kaleeras completed her bridal look.

On the other hand, the bride kept her makeup subtle with radiant pink cheeks, soft smokey eyes, thick mascara, defied brows, pink glossy lips and a bindi. On the other hand, the groom wore a twinning white-coloured sherwani and a doshala. He styled his look with a green layered haar
