Simi Garewal posted an old clip of Abhishek Bachchan from her chat show and praised Abhishek as one of the nicest men in Bollywood.
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's divorce murmurs have been making headlines for a long time now. The duo fell in love with one another while shooting for their film, Umrao Jaan in 2006. The couple tied the knot in 2007, and in 2011, they welcomed their daughter, Aaradhya, into their lives. In the last few months, the actor's dating buzz with Nimrat Kaur dominated the headlines. Now, Simi Garewal defends Abhishek Bachchan amidst the divorce rumours with his wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Simi Garewal is the pioneer of chat shows. In her chat show, Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, she politely asks questions about the stars' private lives, rumours, and scandals. Since Simi has been in this fraternity for decades, it is evident that she knows every member of the industry personally. In her recent post, Simi defended Abhishek Bachchan over rumours that he got divorced from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and is dating Nimrat Kaur.
Simi Garewal recently posted an old video of Abhishek Bachchan discussing his opinions on loyalty and relationships. In the video, Abhishek states that he thinks commitment should be treated seriously, even if he doesn't find anything wrong with individuals wanting to have fun. Abhishek said:
"Call me old-fashioned, but I have nothing against being frivolous. I have nothing against people wanting to have fun with both of the constants; then, by all means, enjoy yourselves."

According to Abhishek, if someone is committed to a relationship, they ought to keep it rather than renege on it. He also expressed his dislike of disloyalty, which he finds both unfathomable and repugnant. He said that he felt obligated as a man to remain faithful even in the face of adversity. In his words:
"If you have committed to somebody on whatever level, then abide by that commitment; otherwise, don’t make it. I personally feel that as a man, if you commit to a woman, even if you get caught up with her boyfriend, you should be loyal to her. Men are usually accused of being very disloyal; I have never been able to understand that, and I don’t agree with it. It disgusts me."
Simi Garewal said that many people who know Abhishek consider him to be one of the nicest people in Bollywood, and they love his morals and inherent good nature. Farah Khan, who has worked with Abhishek Bachchan on Happy New Year, commented on Simi's post and said, "I fully agree he’s just the nicest guy." Simi wrote:
"Rendezvous Gems. I think everyone who knows Abhishek personally will agree he is among the nicest men in Bollywood. Good values and innate decency."
Both Abhishek and Aishwarya have continued to maintain a dignified silence on these rumours. On the work front, Abhishek will be seen next in Shoojit Sircar's film, I Want To Talk. He was last seen in R Balki's, Ghoomer.
