Smriti Irani recently blasted a person who asked her if she got married to her friend, Mona Irani's husband, Zubin Irani.
Union Minister, Smriti Irani got married to Zubin Irani in 2001. The couple is blessed with two kids, a son, Zohr, and a daughter, Zoish. Apart from being a brilliant actress and an intelligent politician, Smriti is a complete family woman. Known for her witty self, Smriti Irani once again won hearts as she gave a befitting reply to a person who asked her if she got married to her friend, Mona's husband.
On August 13, 2023, Smriti Irani hosted an 'Ask Me Anything' session on her Instagram handle and responded to her fans' queries. One of the users asked Smriti about her marriage with Zubin Irani, and her relationship with the latter's ex-wife Mona. Asking Smriti if she got married to her friend's husband, the person wrote:
"Aap ki shadi aapke friend ke pati se hui kya?"

Responding to the same, Smriti Irani mentioned that this is something she is often asked about online. So, to set the record straight about her marriage with Zubin Irani and her relationship with Mona for once and all, the former actress gave a stern reply, She stated that Mona Irani cannot be her childhood friend as the latter is 13 years older than her. In Smriti's words:
"Nahi ji. Mona is 13 years older than me so no question of her being my 'bachpan ki saheli'. She is family and not a politician, so don't drag her in, fight me, argue with me, demean me but don't drag a civilian who has nothing to do with politics into the gutter with you. She deserves respect."
Currently, Smriti Irani is serving as a politician after bidding farewell to her acting career. During the AMA session, she was also asked by a fan if she misses her TV days, and the politician gave a beautiful answer. She replied:
"I don't live in the vortex of 'I wish'... it was great while it lasted. Will it ever be again? Time will tell because life teaches you never say never."

For those who don’t know, Smriti Irani had found love in Mona Irani’s ex-husband, Zubin Irani. After being head over heels in love for one another for some time, the duo tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in the year 2001. Zubin and Mona also have a daughter named Shanelle, and Smriti shares a warm and cordial relationship with her stepdaughter. Apart from Shanelle, Smriti has two more children, Zohr Irani and Zoish Irani with her hubby, Zubin.
