Legendary tabla maestro, Zakir Hussain's passing has left the entire nation in shock as it marks a significant loss to the music world. The world-renowned tabla virtuoso's indelible impact is undeniable, and several celebrities and famous personalities are taking to social media to express their condolences to Zakir's family and vent their sadness. Among them is Sobhita Dhulipala, who had the honour of sharing screen space with the legend in Monkey Man. The Made In Heaven actress' touching tribute may also be an innuendo about other situations in her life.

Sobhita Dhulipala pays a touching tribute to  Zakir Hussain, but her cryptic note raises eyebrows

After the news of legendary tabla maestro, Zakir Hussain's passing broke, Sobhita Dhulipala took to her Instagram story to pay a heartfelt tribute to him. However, the final cryptic part of her note could be an innuendo about other events going on in her life. Sobhita's story featured an image of Ustaad Zaakir, beneath which she penned:

"#UstaadZakirHussain What a joy to have shared the screen with you in Monkey Man! Now off to another realm to spread more of your magic. Thank you for sharing your gift with us! You've been terrific influence in shaping my silences."

For the unversed, the film, Monkey Man was released on the streaming platform Prime in 2024. It starred Dev Patel and Sobhita Dhulipala while Zakir Hussain had a cameo as a tabla maestro in the movie. Whether Sobhita's mention of her 'silences' is related to the ongoing buzz surrounding her marriage with Naga Chaitanya is unknown. However, many netizens have been bashing the couple relentlessly, given the Chaitanya's divorce from Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who was left heartbroken.

With tributes to the music maestro, Zakir Hussain pouring in, a poignant clip from Dev Patel's directorial debut, Monkey Man is making rounds on the internet as it reflects the late tabla virtuoso's genius. The scene featured Dev Patel's character practicing boxing on a punching bag as Zakir's captivating tabla rhythm matches the punches. The legendary tabla player then increases the tempo, challenging the boxer to match his beat. The latter rises to the occasion, thoroughly invigorated, and the scene becomes a mesmerising blend of music and physicality that's hard to look away from.

Following the heartbreaking news of the tabla maestro's passing, fans took to the social media platform to share the clip and reminisce over Zakir's sheer genius. One fan shared the clip on X (formerly known as Twitter), and captioned it:

Zakir Hussain passed away at the age of 73 due to a lung-related issue

Tabla maestro, Zakir Hussain sadly passed away at the age of 73 in San Francisco, USA, due to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, which is a lung-related issue. After much confusion about the validity of the news, his family issued a statement announcing his passing on Monday, December 16, 2024. Zakir is survived by his wife, Antonia Minnecola, his daughters, Anisa Qureshi, his brothers, Taufiq and Fazal Qureshi, and his sister, Khurshid Aulia.

Zakir earned several accolades through his significant contributions to music, including the Padma Shri in 1988, Padma Bhushan in 2002, and Padma Vibhushan in 2023. Zakir made history in February 2024 when he became the first Indian to win four Grammy Awards in one night. Besides his impactful music career, Zakir has also appeared in a couple of movies, including Saaz, Heat And Dust, and Monkey Man, among others.
