Soha Ali Khan joined the film industry against her parents, Sharmila Tagore and the late cricketer, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi's wish. She was just 25 years old when she left Pataudi and shifted to Mumbai to pursue acting. She had a secure and well-paid job, and her decision left her brother, Saif Ali Khan scared as he was sure that their parents would blame him for influencing her.
Soha Ali Khan is the youngest child in her family, and hence, her family has always been protective of her. The actress was excellent in her studies, which is why her mother, Sharmila Tagore never wanted her to work in films. In an interview with the IANS, Soha Ali Khan revealed that she had gone against her parents' decision of joining the film industry, and it was her brother, Saif Ali Khan, who was terrified.

Yes, before Soha entered films, Saif was already living in Mumbai and was a famous star. Her brother, Saif was scared that their parents would blame him as she started living with him. Soha was quoted as saying:
"Saif said, ‘Parents will now blame me because you came and lived with me in Mumbai, you had a perfectly decent job in a bank, and it’s my influence. And you better explain to them that it is your choice!' Which I did."
In an interview with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Soha talked about her mother, Sharmila Tagore, and called her scary whenever she loses her temper. She also shared that everyone says Bangla is a sweet language, which is not true as Sharmila starts talking in Bangla when she gets angry.
