Salman Khan's ex-girlfriend, Somy Ali lashed out at Sonu Nigam for using her as a bait to take revenge from the 'Dabangg' actor.
Salman Khan's personal life never leaves a chance to dominate the headlines. There's no denying that the topic of Salman Khan's past relationships has been quite controversial. Be it his involvement with actresses such as Aishwarya Rai, Katrina Kaif, Somy Ali, or Sangeeta Bijlani. However, it's Bhaijaan's ex-girlfriend, Somy Ali, who repeatedly stirs controversy with interesting revelations, and this time, too, she is back with yet another blast from the past.
A few hours ago, Somy Ali shared a video on her Instagram account and blasted singer, Sonu Nigam for using her against her ex-boyfriend, Salman Khan. The diva in the video was dressed in a black-hued pantsuit, which she paired with a golden necklace and glam makeup. She kept her hair in soft waves and looked agitated as she blasted on Sonu Nigam. Somy shared that she conducted an interview with Sonu a while back where he spoke like an intellectual, but later, when she reached out to him, he did not return her calls and messages and avoided her. In Somy's words:
"A couple of years ago, I started a talk show. I interviewed a couple of people, I won't name the people. But one of the persons who was on that talk show spoke very intellectually and he shared a lot of wisdom. I was literally bewildered and in awe of everything he was saying. I genuinely believed he was someone who believed in what he was preaching. Of course, later I came to know when I tried to reach out to him for his benefit, for him to get some sort of project in London, he totally dismissed my texts or my WhatsApp messages."
Somy further added that Sonu came to her show only to take revenge from her ex-boyfriend. She blasted Sonu Nigam for duping her and accused him of changing colours like a chameleon. Somy said:
I realised the only reason he came on the show was to prove to that gentleman, ‘Look, I’m on your ex’s show.’ Once that chapter closed, when I tried to offer him an opportunity, he refused to communicate with me. I tried three times, and I wasn’t gaining anything out of it. I even left voice notes in Hindi, Urdu, English—every language I know—but this person refused to respond.”
When Salman Khan was about to marry his ex-girlfriend, Sangeet Bijlani, he was caught red-handed with Somy Ali. Recently, Somy Ali revealed the story of what happened that day. Somy shared that back then, she used to live in Vindyachal, and Salman would come to meet her in her room through the window by climbing up the pipes. Somy said that she found it very romantic. She further added that at that time, Salman was dating Sangeeta, and even their wedding cards were ready. In Somy's words:
"I was living in Vindyachal that time. Salman used to climb the pipes and come to my room through my window. I found this act of Salman utterly romantic. It was a two-bedroom apartment. However, I remember one day he came over at around 10:30 am when this incident happened. He was still seeing Sangeeta at that time and in fact, their wedding cards had been printed as well."
For those who may not know, Somy Ali and Salman Khan were in a relationship for a significant eight years, from 1991 to 1999. Somy Ali, in an interview, shared that she had left for the US after their breakup. She also had kind words for Salman Khan's parents and shared what she had learnt from them. In an interview with the Free Press Journal, Somy Ali opened up about her relationship with Salman Khan and said:
"I learned a lot from his parents and household. I also learned from Salman. Ultimately, in any relationship, if you are not happy, it's better to part ways. That was the case of the relationship between Salman and me. I decided to go back to America."
