Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal finally reacted to their pregnancy buzz. The actress revealed that Zaheer received congratulations while he broke the silence over the photos that sparked the rumours.
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal can be hailed as one of the sweetest couples in Bollywood. The duo kept their relationship hush-hush for more than half a decade and it was only when they tied the knot that their fans had the idea about the love-dovey bond they share. Sonakshi and Zaheer are goals, and their bond screams BFF X life partner, which everyone dreams about. Well, soon after their wedding, buzz about Sonakshi Sinha's pregnancy started doing rounds, and now, the actress reacted to the same.
Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal recently sat for an interview with Curly Tales, and were asked if she and her husbands are getting invited here and there for lunch and dinner, as they are newlyweds. To this, the actress replied that they are actually being invited. Well, Sonakshi felt it to be the perfect time to react to her pregnancy buzz, and she did the same by stating that she was not pregnant, but she had put on some weight because of these invites, which led people to think she was expecting and even people ended up congratulating Zaheer. Sonakshi can be quoted as saying:
"Yes, and guys, mein yahan par kehna chahti hu, I’m not pregnant. Mein bas moti ho chuki hu. That day somebody congratulated him. Can’t we enjoy our marriage?”
Sonakshi's doting husband, Zaheer, jokingly added that the next day people congratulated him, his wife started her diet again. Talking about the same, the actress added that it's been only four months since they got married, and they are now busy enjoying the same and doing a lot of travelling. Sonakshi remarked:
"It’s only been four months, we are genuinely busy travelling so much. We are enjoying ourselves and people’s lunch and dinner are not getting over."
Zaheer then addressed the buzz and mentioned how it was funny when people started saying that Sonakshi was pregnant after seeing her post with their furbaby. For context, on Diwali, Sonakshi, and Zaheer posted photos with their furbaby, which the actress captioned as 'Guess the Pookie', and it left everyone wondering if there could be 'good news'. Zaheer stated:
"The funny part is it came out of somewhere. There was a photo of us with our dog and they were like ‘Oh she is pregnant’. I was like how it even related?”
Soon after their wedding, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal were spotted outside of a hospital, which made their fans wonder if the couple would share 'good news' for their fans. While Sonakshi was first silent about the clamour around her for visiting the hospital, she later, in an interview with Zoom, was asked what had changed after she got married to Zaheer. Taking a witty dig at the buzz about her pregnancy, Sonakshi mentioned that nothing has changed apart from the fact that she would not be able to go to the hospital freely now after her marriage.
After keeping their relationship private for seven years, Sonakshi and Zaheer got married in a low-key ceremony. At first, they had a registered wedding, and the theme for it was white. Sonakshi turned into a minimalistic bride and donned her mom's saree and jewels for the same. Following the same, Zaheer and Sonakshi had their post-wedding party, and the bride donned a red-toned saree from Raw Mango. The addition of sindoor, bindi, and alta made Sonakshi look a thousand times prettier.
