Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha's son, Luv Sinha shared a post to commemorate their wedding anniversary. However, he excluded his newly married sister, Sonakshi Sinha, from the frame.
Sonakshi Sinha’s marriage to her longtime beau, Zaheer Iqbal, in June 2024 caused a stir in the media. From sudden reports of their wedding to speculations about a rift in the Sinha family, there was a lot of buzz surrounding the duo’s marriage. However, the actress’ parents shattered all such baseless rumours as they were seen attending their only daughter’s wedding happily.
But Sonakshi’s brother, Luv Sinha, confirmed his absence from her wedding just days after the ceremony, apparently hinting at a discord between the two. Recently, the actor-turned-politician took to his Instagram account to wish his parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, on their 44th wedding anniversary. He posted a picture featuring his parents along with his twin brother, Kussh and himself, excluding their sister, Sonakshi. Sharing the picture, Luv penned:
“Happy anniversary to my amazing parents. We were blessed to have been born as your children and are grateful for every moment we share with you.”

The rumours of a rift between the Sinha siblings arose when Luv and Kussh missed the celebrations of Sonakshi and Zaheer’s wedding. Earlier, Luv took to his X (formerly Twitter) account and shared why he opted out of the actress’ wedding bash. Resharing an article by a media outlet, Luv mentioned that he doesn’t like to associate with a certain segment of people. In his words:
“The reasons are very clear as to why I didn’t attend, and would not associate with some people no matter what. I’m glad a member of the media did their research instead of relying on creative stories being put out by a PR team.”
Previously, in an interview with Zoom, the veteran actor-turned-politician, Shatrughan Sinha, opened up about the smear campaign against his family. He said that marriages like Sonakshi and Zaheer’s have happened earlier as well, but theirs became a target in the media. Revealing that he won’t tolerate anything against his family, Shatrughan Sinha said:
“We were like any ordinary family with a wedding happening. Just why we became a target of so much attention, you will know better than me. We didn’t ask for it. This is not the first time that such a marriage was happening. Our family was subjected to the most vicious smear campaign. Let me make this clear. I won’t tolerate my family being attacked.”

Further, in the same interview, when Shatrughan Sinha was questioned about his son, Luv Sinha’s disagreement with Sonakshi’s marriage, he said that every family has argued and disagreed at one point in time. However, at the end of the day, they share a close-knit bond, and nothing can break them apart.
