Bride-to-be, Sonakshi Sinha arrived for the puja at her home in a beautiful blue suit and sported a huge diamond engagement ring.
Popular Bollywood actress, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal have been hitting the headlines with the news of their wedding. According to various reports, the couple is all set to tie the knot on June 23, 2024. Meanwhile, Sonakshi and Zaheer’s pre-wedding celebrations started with an intimate mehendi ceremony, whose glimpses surfaced in the media. While celebrations were underway, various reports suggested a rift between the bride-to-be and her family members. However, they quashed all these baseless rumours by posing happily as one big family a few days ago.
Just a day before the wedding bash, the Sinha family arranged a puja at their residence, Ramayana. In the videos shared by several paparazzi pages on Instagram, Sonakshi’s mother, Poonam Sinha, was seen making an offering to the havan kund as a number of pandits were chanting mantras. The entire house was decorated with several chains of lights and flowers for the auspicious occasion.

In another video, the radiant bride-to-be, Sonakshi Sinha, was seen arriving at the puja at her home, all dressed in a traditional blue-hued outfit comprising a kurta and straight pants paired with a sheer dupatta. She accessorised her outfit a black smartwatch. However, what caught our attention was a huge diamond ring on her ring finger. In the glimpses, Sonakshi was seen smiling ear to ear.

Earlier, on June 22, 2024, Sonakshi Sinha’s to-be-father-in-law, Iqbal Ratansi revealed in an interview with Free Press Journal if the actress would convert to Islam post her wedding with Zaheer. He shared that Sonakshi would not embrace Islam, and further added that the duo’s union signify their love for one another and is not related to their respective religions. In his words:
“She is not converting, and that is for sure. Theirs is a union of hearts, and religion has no role to play whatsoever. I believe in humanity. God is called Bhagwan by Hindus and Allah by Muslims. But at the end of the day, we are all human beings. My blessings are with Zaheer and Sonakshi.”

On June 21, 2024, Sonakshi’s father, Shatrughan Sinha, spoke with Times Now and shared that he and his wife, Poonam, would grace the celebrations, which would take place on June 23, 2024. He also revealed that the wedding reception would take place on the said date, and not the wedding. In his words:
“So quickly, yes my wife and I are very much a part of the celebrations on June 23. No, it is not the wedding. It is the wedding reception that we are all attending on the evening of June 23. No one from my family said anything about a wedding. Some media outlets have just been presuming things. Too much attention is being given to something that is a private family matter. Shadiyan sab ke ghar hoti hain. Pre-wedding conflicts are also common. We are all okay now. Whatever the stress has been sorted.”
