Sonakshi Sinha is currently seen in the Zee5 film, 'Kakuda.' Recently, in an interview, the actress shared the worst advice that she had received from a colleague.
Sonakshi Sinha has been in the headlines for her personal and professional life. After giving an exceptional performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, the actress overjoyed her fans by marrying her longtime beau, Zaheer Iqbal. Sonakshi recently sat down for an interview with Filmfare, sharing some interesting insights on her career.
Sonakshi Sinha made her Bollywood debut with the 2010 film, Dabangg. Throughout her career, she has played versatile characters and never took a step behind in playing the challenging ones. In this bid, there were times when her films didn't perform well at the box office. So, Sonakshi reveals that she got a poor advice from a colleague. Although she didn't share any name, the person asked her to stop doing films when they don't work. She was quoted as saying:
"The worst advice a colleague has given me is that if your films are not doing well, stop doing films. Sitting at home, waiting for the right project, doesn't work. That's the worst advice I've ever gotten. I did not follow it. As you can very well see."

Often, certain films in an actor's life are special to them but don't perform well at the box office. Sonakshi revealed she was disheartened when her film, Lootera, didn't work. She felt that it was a film ahead of its time. So, possibly, if it was released now, the film would have a different story and perform better at the box office. However, the actress accepts that she is still appreciated for her role in Lootera. In her words:
"Every time I meet someone, the first film they tell me about is Lootera. And I tell them, 'Why didn't you go to the theatres at that point?' But I have to admit that it was disheartening when Lootera didn't work."
Sonakshi Sinha is the daughter of veteran actor-turned-politician, Shatrughan Sinha. The latter has often shared that he is proud of Sonakshi and her acting performances. Sonakshi said she feels encouraged because her father always expresses his feelings for her. At the same time, the Akira actress feels confident with the support of her father, who is her biggest cheerleader. She said:
"I can take on the world because I know that I have my father in my corner, and he's always by my side, and he's my biggest cheerleader."

On the work front, Sonakshi is currently seen in the horror-comedy film, Kakuda. She shares the screen space in the movie with Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem. The actress will next be seen in Nikita Roy and The Book of Darkness.
