In an interview, Sonali Bendre revealed her son, Ranveer Behl's battle with asthma. Moreover, Sonali revealed how her cancer had strongly affected him.
Sonali Bendre has swooned millions of hearts with her excellent performances in 90s films like Sarfarosh, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Diljale, Major Saab and many others. In addition, Sonali also had to give a tough fight against metastatic cancer and underwent treatment for months in New York. However, no matter how difficult a mother's journey is, watching their child suffer is indeed the toughest. Something similar happened with the actress. Now, in an interview, Sonali revealed her son, Ranveer Behl's battle with asthma. Moreover, Sonali revealed how her cancer had strongly affected him.
For the unversed, Sonali Bendre is married to the love of her life, Goldie Behl, and they are proud parents to a baby boy, Ranveer Behl. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sonali opened up about her son, Ranveer's battle with asthma. She revealed that making the surrounding environment a better place for the kid doesn't solve the mother's problem, as it becomes unbearable for any lady to see their child struggle. Sonali said:
“My son is asthmatic. What happens is because nobody else around is getting affected by it, you don’t think of it as something that’s an illness or a disease, only the family or the child is affected or the person I would say is struggling through it. So, how do we make it easier? You make the environment better, you reduce the pollutions, all that is great but that doesn’t solve a mother’s problem which is instant at that point when a child is not able to breathe.”

In the same conversation, the actress added how it was one of the dreadful experiences of her life when she found her son, Ranveer falling short of breath. She revealed how her entire world has then come to a standstill watching her son suffer. Currently, Sonali shared her son is quite sorted with what he needs to do to take care of his health. She shared:
“When a child can’t breathe and when you see that as a parent, it’s scary. The whole world comes to a standstill and nothing else really matters. Breath is so important and that’s life. When your child can’t breathe, it’s the most scary thing a mother can go through or parents can go through.”
Further, Sonali revealed that her father was also asthmatic. Thus, she had seen people dealing with the disease right from childhood. She revealed how her father struggled with it when she entered into movies. However, now he is 86 and coping with the disease. In Sonali's words:
“My father is asthmatic so I’ve grown up seen him go through asthma and it was scary. So, for me it was a process that started at that time from my childhood. I mean at point of time when you can’t breathe, we didn’t know if my father will survive or not.”

Sonali is indeed a doting mommy for her son, Ranveer. Proof of the same is often found on her social media handle. When she was asked about the duo's bonding, the actress mentioned, “As of now, considering that he’s in the throes of his teenage years, it’s been good.” However, Sonali also mentioned how her cancer strongly affected the child. She shared that it made her son independent and that he started taking care of many things himself.
