Sonali Bendre Diagnosed With Metastatic Cancer, Her Sister-In-Law, Srishti Arya Reveals Details

Life is so unpredictable that within a blink of an eye you might get a jolt of a sad news. The entire Bollywood and everyone got hit really hard when one of the fittest actresses of the tinsel town reveals cancer diagnosis. The mention is of none other than Sonali Bendre. The actress who is just 43 years old, the one who keeps updating about healthy eating and staying healthy, it was a shock to hear about Sonali Bendre’s cancer. Sonali Bendre shared the status of her cancer on July 4, 2018, on her official Twitter handle. Sonali Bendre has been diagnosed with high-grade cancer and is recovering in New York, fighting the battle against the dreaded disease. For the ones who don’t know, recently, Irrfan Khan has also been diagnosed with cancer and he is on the road for the prevention. In a statement revealing the state of her health, Bendre stated “Sometimes when you least expect it, life throws you a curveball. I have recently been diagnosed with high-grade cancer that has metastasized, which we frankly did not see coming. A niggling pain led to some tests, which led to this unexpected diagnosis. My family and close friends have rallied around me, providing the best support system that anyone can ask for. I am very blessed and thankful for each of them.”

It further stated, "There is no better way to tackle this than to take swift and immediate action. And so, as advised by my doctors, I am currently undergoing a course of treatment in New York. We remain optimistic and I am determined to fight every step of the way. What has helped has been the immense outpouring of love and support I've received over the past few days, for which I am very grateful. In a recent interview, Sonali Bendre’s sister-in-law, Shrishti Arya (who happens to be very close to Sonali) talked about it to a leading entertainment portal. Shrishti said, “Yes, it happened suddenly. Aisi sab baatein suddenly hi hoti hain.” Just like all others, even she thinks that Sonali will win over the battle against cancer. Shrishti further went on to say, “Sonali is a fighter. She will definitely prevail. She has a lot of positive energy. She will be back. Soon after Sonali shook the entire nation yesterday after she shared the news, which was like a thunderbolt, wishes from the everyone from the Bollywood fraternity started pouring in. Sonali Bendre tied the knot with Indian filmmaker, Goldie Behl on November 12, 2002. It was a lavish ceremony attended by big shots of entertainment, politics, and sports arenas. Together they have a handsome son named, Ranveer Behl. There is no denying the fact that a woman is the pillar of any family, just like that, Sonali is a support system for the Behl family.

Here’s what Goldie once said about her, “She’s my pillar of strength. She’s stood by me every time I’ve been down. She’s so positive about me and our relationship. For any relationship to work, having belief and faith in the other person is important. She’s always believed in me. I have immense faith and belief in her too. I guess that’s the crux of our relationship. Even though our marriage has completed a decade, we’re still discovering each other. There’s so much more to find out about each other and enjoy a long and happy life together.
