The diva kickstarted her career with the movie, Best of Luck. Apart from Punjabi film, Sonam also worked in the Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil industries. The actress is currently on a promotional spree for her next movie, Kudi Haryavne Val Di, alongside Ammy Virk. In a recent interview, the actress revealed that she was accused by a woman of breaking her engagement. Now, netizens have been reacting to the same.
In an interview with ETimes, Sonam Bajwa revealed an incident when a girl accused her of something. The actress stated that once she went to her hometown for an event through the Bareliy airport. The actress said that although she was wearing a mask, a woman recognised her and asked if she was Sonam Bajwa.

Sonam also added that the woman accused the actress of her broken marriage by revealing that her fiance was extremely obsessed with the actress, which was a 'red flag.' Sonam said that the woman is married now and is very happy. Talking about it, the actress mentioned that such an incident left her co-star, Ammy, shocked. She also mentioned that if a person is obsessed with an actress more than his wife or fiancee, then that is clearly an issue. Sonam said:
"I had gone to my hometown for an event and we went through Bareilly airport. At the airport on my way back, though I was wearing a mask, a woman approached me and asked me if I was Sonam Bajwa? I nodded. She said ‘ Because of you, my marriage broke’ and I just didn’t know how to react. I was stunned. She went on to add, ‘ But I'm very thankful. I was engaged to this guy and I called it off because he was so obsessed with you. And I saw that as a red flag’."
Soon after such a report surfaced online, netizens rushed to the comment section to react. Most of the netizens tagged Sonam's claims as 'overhyped' or 'overacting'. On the other hand, some users compared her with Hania Aamir and mentioned that both actresses are 'overrated'. On the other hand, some netizens praised the actress' beauty and grace and called her a 'dream girl.'
Earlier, a Reddit post emerged online and instantly went viral. According to the post, Sonam is married to a pilot named Rakshit Agnihotri from West Delhi. Sonam and Rakshit have a company together, wherein they are both directors, and it is even verified by a close friend of the actress. The duo reportedly got married in 2020 and is very private about the same.

It was after the post emerged online when a video of Abhishek Malhan made rounds on social media. In the video, Malhan was asked to spread a rumour about himself, and he stated that he wouldn't mind if any rumours were made about him dating Sonam Bajwa or Triptii Dimri. Later, the BB 17 runner-up also added that he liked Sonam a lot but later he got to know that the actress was married.
