Sonam Kapoor Ahuja was speculated to be pregnant for quite some time now. However, now the actress has shut down all the rumours by sharing the details of her menstrual cycle.
Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja are speculated to be expecting their first baby together ever since the actress has landed back in town. For the unversed, after dating for a while, Sonam and Anand had tied the knot on May 8, 2018, and have been making each other’s #EverydayPhenomenal. It’s been three years since their wedding and often their pregnancy reports make it to the headlines. This time, Sonam has shut them down with facts.
On July 14, 2021, Sonam Kapoor was spotted at the Mumbai Airport as she was back in town from London after more than 1 year. Her father, Anil Kapoor had gone to pick her up and she had burst into tears after seeing him. While their reunion had melted many hearts, Sonam’s choice of outfit had started her pregnancy rumours. Since then, with every outing of Sonam, her pregnancy reports were getting more mileage.

Well, now, Sonam Kapoor has finally put an end to these rumours. Taking to her IG stories, a few hours back, Sonam shared a Boomerang, mentioning details about her periods. Putting an end to all the pregnancy speculations and how she is struggling with the first day of the period, Sonam wrote, "Hot water bottle and ginger tea for first day of my period" atop the Boomerang.
Coming back to how people had started speculating Sonam Kapoor’s pregnancy, well, it was all because of her choice of outfit when she had arrived at Mumbai airport. Sonam had opted for an abstract grey and blue printed midi dress with a blue and red jacket. To complete her look, she had added blue heels and a Birkin bag. Her choice of outfit had made people wonder if she is pregnant! While one user had written, “She is pregnant i think," another one had commented, "She looks pregnant?"

In an interview with FirstPost, just 2 months after her wedding, Sonam had talked at length about having kids. She had said, "Anand and I had a very long conversation you know, and we obviously want to have kids eventually, and he had this one friend who had a very long name, his mother’s name, father’s name, blah blah blah. I said, see anyways it’s a patriarchal concept, I have my father’s last name, I don’t have my mother’s name, and I want to be part of your family as well, and he wanted to be a part of mine.”
Sonam Kapoor had further talked about her kid’s name and how she thinks her and Anand’s name has become too long. She had added, "Now Sonam Kapoor Ahuja becomes very long, but in our passports, I’ll be Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and he will be Anand Sonam Ahuja. Which I think is amazing. Because I wanted to have the same name as my child and I wanted my child to have my name as well.”
On the professional front, Sonam will be next seen in the movie, Blind.
