Sonam Kapoor's journey from 'Miss-to-Mrs' was nothing short of a fairy tale! It was the year 2015, when the ultimate fashionista of B-town, Sonam Kapoor fell in love with Delhi-based businessman, Anand Ahuja, who owns the coolest fashion label, Bhane. While Sonam never talked about her relationship in the media, she never shied away from introducing Anand on her official Instagram handle. And it was on May 8, 2018, when they sealed the deal and got married in a grand wedding. Since then the #EveryDayPhenomenal couple has been making headlines with their ‘awwdorable’ love that inspire us all!
And today (May 8, 2019), the duo completed a year of togetherness and to celebrate it, Sonam took to her Instagram. She posted an unseen video from her wedding celebration, and wrote, “My Darling @anandahuja no one makes me feel as loved and cherished as you do. She further wrote, “I drowned myself in stories and lived in my dreams my whole life, And you came into my life and pulled me into a reality which was actually as beautiful as the best fairytale ever. You are, my ever after. Earlier, in an interview with Vogue, Sonam had revealed the first date details. The actress had shared, “I was apparently wearing the worst sneakers he had ever seen. I keep telling him that he fell in love with me despite my bad sneaker game… That day, walking and talking in London, I knew he was the love of my life. He apparently knew the first time we spoke on the phone… It was just so easy”.
In the same interview, Sonam had also talked about her love story with Anand, she had quipped, “He makes clothes—and I wear them!” She had further added, “He comes from a business background, so that’s alien to me. I’m the third generation in a film family. So there’s a lot to talk about, a lot to discover about each other, but we have a lot of similarities.”
Sonam and Anand are living in a long-distance marriage because of their respective work commitments. In a throwback interview with Elle India, Anand had talked about the same and had revealed, “Long distance can get tiring, but we're lucky that Delhi, London and Mumbai are all home, for work. It could be worse, but it obviously could be better. It's hard to not be together, especially after you get around to being married and you want to have that time. But Sonam's got a hectic schedule this year — she's got four films coming up. But we make it work.
