Sonam Kapoor Ahuja Talks About Her Pregnancy Journey, Shares A List Of Her Prenatal Massages

Bollywood actress, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is the newbie mommy in Tinseltown. Sonam and her hubby, Anand Ahuja welcomed a baby boy into their lives on August 20, 2022, whom they lovingly call Vayu Kapoor Ahuja. The actress has been vocal about her pregnancy journey and has bared her heart out about the challenges she faced during the nine months of pregnancy, and it was inspirational.

On October 24, 2022, the newbie parents, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja had hosted a Diwali bash for their friends and family. For the occasion, the new mommy decked up in an ivory-hued ensemble and looked stunning. She accentuated her look with a pearl headpiece and a pair of heavy earrings. However, it was Sonam's little one, who grabbed eyeballs in an ivory-hued sherwani from the shelves of designer, Anamika Khanna.

On November 13, 2022, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja took to her IG handle and shared a post about her prenatal journey. The new mommy shared that she did a lot of prenatal massages with her therapists and added that massages are a great way to relax and ease the pain during the difficult days of pregnancy. She also stated that one should be gentle with the process and advised the mommies-to-be to never lie on their stomach. Her note can be read as:

"I did a lot of prenatal massages in my pregnancy with Dr Gowris therapists but we have some wonderful people in Mumbai who do prenatal massages. Most hotels and Spas offer prenatal massage and your local masseuse will also suffice as long as it's gentle and you don't lie on your stomach. Lying on your back and side is the best to do. Don't do acupressure foot massage without a proper therapist. Otherwise, massage is a great way to relax and ease the pain your body feels through all the insane changes it's going through. Lymphatic drainage massage really helped me as well."

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja's list of prenatal massages includes Potli massage for inflammation and water retention, Swedish massage, muscle relaxing massage, Shirodhara massage, creative healing, reflexology, and lymphatic massage. Further, in the next IG story, the actress revealed that expecting women experience nesting in the second or third trimester. She penned:

"Nesting is actually a thing that happens during your second or third trimester. More on how I prepped my home and the things I ordered for the arrival of my baby tomorrow!"

Sonam Kapoor Ahuja had conceived at the age of 36, and now, she is a mommy to a wonderful boy, Vayu Kapoor Ahuja. In an interview with Vogue India, Sonam revealed that her pregnancy journey wasn't easy. The actress added that the first three months were difficult in a way she wasn't prepared for. Revealing that she wasn't fazed by her new journey to motherhood, Sonam had mentioned:

“It's been tough—nobody tells you how hard it is. Everybody tells you how wonderful it is. The reason we're all here is to change and become better versions of ourselves. So that evolution is something I look forward to.”
