Sonam tied the knot and entered the doubles’ club with long-time beau (now husband), Anand Ahuja. The lovebirds have had a proper Sikh wedding with the rites and rituals followed in Anand Karaj. Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s wedding cake is the funniest yet the cutest thing you will see today. Their wedding cake is very interesting where the bride is dragging the groom from his collar as he is interested in playing basketball. It is a chocolate cake embellished with gende ke phool. The lovely and delicious looking cake is designed and made by le15patisseries. Also, at the side of the cake’s presentation was written “Everyday Phenomenal”. In her cake cutting picture, she was seen wearing pink and grey-coloured lehenga along with heavy earrings. She kept her hair tied in a bun embellished with gajra. And how can we miss the newlywed bride’s beautiful red chooda. Anand, on the other hand, didn’t change, he just removed his pagdi. Together they make such a lovely couple, no? Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja dated each other for over two years before deciding on forever. The couple’s wedding ceremonies kick-started on May 6, 2018, with the mehendi ceremony followed by a sangeet ceremony on the next day. For the wedding day, on May 8, 2018, in the morning when Anand Karaj happened, Sonam wore a red coloured heavy lehenga. On the other hand, groom Anand sported a beige and cream-coloured sherwani with a complementing pagdi.
Sometime back, Sonam’s brother, Harshvardhan Kapoor was asked in an interview as to what would he gift his sister on her wedding. To which the brother jokingly replied, “A hug… That’s a joke. A lot of love. I am broke. Have you seen the kind of movies I am doing? They don’t pay very well (laughs). So, I don’t have anything to give her, but a lot of love”. He further shared, “I am really happy that she is getting married, and Anand is a great guy. But I am just focused on the film”.
