Sonam Kapoor broke down in tears, remembering the last fashion designer, Rohit Bal, as she walked the ramp during an event in Gurugram.
Sonam Kapoor is one of the most-loved actresses in the Hindi film industry, who never skips a chance to win the hearts of her fans, be it with her acting skills, beauty, or fashion statement. Hailed as a fashion icon, Sonam often sends everyone into a collective meltdown with her fashion statements. Recently, she walked the ramp at an event and teared up during the same as she remembered the late fashion designer, Rohit Bal. For the unversed, Rohit Bal bid farewell to the world on November 1, 2024, due to cardiac arrest.
Sonam Kapoor walked the ramp of the Blenders Pride X FDCI Fashion Tour 2025 event in Gurugram on February 2, 2025. While walking the ramp, Sonam was seen tearing up, while paying tribute to the late fashion designer, Rohit Bal. Talking to ANI, Sonam shared that she is ecstatic to walk the ramp, and it feels wonderful to be a part of probably the last show of Rohit Bal. She shared that she is happy to be there for Gudda. Talking about the late designer, Sonam added that the show was all about celebrating heritage, craftsmanship, and everything that is beautiful and joyful, which was exactly what Rohit Bal tried to do. She called herself privileged to wear Rohit's clothes and said:
"I am so happy to be here for Gudda. I have been privileged to wear his clothes many times and to have him design clothes for me also many times. It feels wonderful to do probably his last show. The celebration of heritage, the celebration of craftsmanship... the idea is to celebrate everything beautiful and joyful. That was him. And I think in the same way, I love wearing clothes exactly like that."
Sonam Kapoor never fails to impress us with her style statements, and the same happened again when she walked the ramp of the Blenders Pride X FDCI Fashion Tour 2025. For the day, she wore a white-toned long dress, with a crusted finishing work all over. She teamed the dress with a beige-toned bohemian coat, which was beautifully embroidered with peacock and leaf detailing.
To add an extra bohemian touch to her look, Sonam donned a pair of ear-cuffs and an antique ring, and oh boy it amped up the gorgeousness of the dress. With her neutral-toned dress, Sonam opted for smokey eyes and red lipstick. Attaching roses to her tied-braided hairdo and flower strings to her wrist, Sonam completed her look. For the unversed, Sonam's dress was designed by none other than the late fashion designer, Rohit Bal.
It was on November 1, 2024, when Rohit Bal breathed his last. Reacting to the heartbreaking news, Sonam penned an emotional note. She took to her IG handle and shared a snap of a dress, which was designed by the fashion designer. She wrote that she would be forever grateful to have known Rohit and worn his creations and walking ramp for him multiple times. Sonam also penned that she's his biggest fan and wrote how he would lend her dresses that he made.
