Sonam Kapoor donned a white-toned 'chikankari' lehenga from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla for her 'mehendi'. Well, the designers revealed it took more than one year to prepare.

It was Sonam's wedding, which was one of the most favourites of all, and the then-bride's looks for the soiree just etched a special place in the hearts of every fashion junkie as well as the brides-to-be. Recently, ace designer, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla shared a video featuring Sonam Kapoor's exquisite ensemble from their label, which she wore during her mehendi and sangeet.
Taking to their IG handle, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla shared a video featuring the making of the dreamy lehenga that Sonam Kapoor wore during her pre-wedding festivities. The chikankari embroidered lehenga was designed with zardosi, crystals, stones, and beads, and Sonam looked like a princess in the ensemble. Sharing the video, AJSK revealed that Sonam Kapoor's chikankari lehenga took a whopping 18 months to finalise.

For her mehendi, Sonam Kapoor was dolled up in an ivory AJSK lehenga. The backless choli was golden and had several embellishments. The actress' lehenga had several motifs made with golden zardozi and embroidered with crystal work. She wore a matching chikankari dupatta with golden borders and looked gorgeous.
The actress opted for soft-toned makeup, including dark eyes and nude lipstick. With braided hair adorned with gajra, a huge statement choker, and a pair of matching earrings tucked in the back of her hair, Sonam finalised her look. With her sober look for her pre-wedding festivities, she surely set a trend.
A few days ago, Sonam Kapoor posed for a concept shoot. For the shoot, the actress was clad in a white-hued saree and teamed it with a white full-sleeved blouse. A long veil with golden work in the borders was enough to finalise her look. What caught our attention was the vintage matha patti that she wore for the shoot.

Talking to Pinkvilla, Sonam's designer, Namrata Soni, revealed that the actress was extremely excited about the headpiece, which originally belonged to a Maharani.

For those who don't know, on Sonam's wedding day, the actress wore her mom's jewellery, and Sunita Kapoor designed each of the ornaments. Sonam dolled up in a red-hued lehenga with golden work all over from Anuradha Vakil. The actress teamed the ensemble with a matching blouse and a veil. There's no denying the fact that Sonam actually looked like a Maharani on her wedding day.
