Popular filmmaker, Mahesh Bhatt needs no introduction, as he often leads the headlines for his controversial personal life and bold remarks. For the unversed, Mahesh Bhatt married actress, Kiran Bhatt, and the latter gave birth to their kids, Pooja Bhatt and Rahul Bhatt. Later, he met Soni Razdan and fell in love with her while still being married to Kiran. Though Mahesh eventually parted ways with Kiran, he never divorced her. Soni and Mahesh are blessed with two daughters, Shaheen Bhatt and Alia Bhatt.
Recently, a Reddit user dug out an old interview of Mahesh Bhatt, wherein he talked about his relationship with his wife, Soni Razdan. The filmmaker talked about the end of his previous relationship with Parveen Babi while being married to Kiran and revealed that he wanted to spend time with his newborn, Rahul Bhatt, back then. However, he couldn't resist himself from falling for Soni Razdan and warned her that he would destroy her. Sharing a screengrab from the interview, the user penned:
"I thought Soni Razdan was a sensible person. Alia never really stood a chance."

Soon after the throwback interview surfaced online, netizens were quick to react to the same. Mahesh Bhatt, who never fails to surprise us with his controversial statements, once again irked the social media users. While some people called Mahesh cringe, others took a dig at his toxic nature when it comes to personal relationships. However, a section of users also brought Alia Bhatt into the matter and mentioned how her parents' tumultuous relationship must have impacted her.

During one of her interviews, while promoting her film, Kalank, Alia Bhatt was asked about her thoughts on infidelity and extramarital affairs. Responding to the same, Alia said that she doesn't propagate infidelity as things happen for a reason. Talking about how her father had an extramarital affair, the actress added:
“My father met my mother because he had an extramarital affair. I am not as black and white about life; sometimes in life, things happen for a reason. Of course, you would not want to propagate infidelity, and I don’t propagate it, but I understand the nature of humans — it’s not always that easy, and it is something that’s prevalent."

Further in the interview, the 30-year-old actress mentioned that infidelity is prevalent in our society and added that one should deal with it maturely. Asking people to understand the process rather than turning their heads away, Alia said:
“You can’t say it doesn’t exist or it can’t exist. It does! So try and understand it, look at it in a different way, or disagree with it, but have some perspective over it and don’t turn your head away.”
