'The Legends Of The Blue Sea' actor, Lee Min Ho embroiled in a career-ending controversy as he was spotted gambling in a New Zealand casino.
South Korean celebrities are constantly under scrutiny as their fans expect only the best behaviour from their idols. The Hallyu audiences are quite strict and take no time at all to call out their favourites' questionable behaviour. They are even quite hesitant to forgive and forget their idol's mistakes, which makes the Hallyu celebrities extra cautious with their endeavours.
There is no denying the fact that Lee Min Ho is one of the biggest superstars in South Korea. With a global fan base in millions, the actor enjoys a massive stardom like no other Hallyu actor. However, when The Heirs actor took one misstep, he was immediately called out and was almost cancelled for his carelessness.

Lee Min Ho once went for a shoot in New Zealand, where he was pictured by their paparazzi indulging in a gambling bet at a local casino. As soon as the pictures saw the light of the day, it went viral. The Hallyu audiences did not take the news well and were agitated with the Boys Over Flowers actor.
Seeing the situation getting out of control to the extent that audiences were cancelling Lee Min Ho, his agency interfered in the matter. They issued a public statement clearing the air that the New Zealand gambling establishment is completely legal and is based on a gaming concept. Lee Min Ho's agency further added:
"After Lee Min Ho finished his shoot, he went sightseeing on the street, and then went to a gambling establishment. The place wasn't a large scale professional casino, but was a completely legal place that doubled as a cafe and restaurant. It was a healthy play environment, and the concept of the games there were far from gambling. If there was any reason for doubt at entering the establishment, Lee Min Ho would not have entered without hesitation in a place with a lot of Asian tourists. Casinos in the western world have a different cultural reception, and simply entering a casino is not seen as gambling."
